Though it does take a SMALL bit of fun out of reading the site. They do a pretty damned good job of making the unbelievable believable.

Wow that is pretty elaborate just for a laugh or to make a point.
I have seen these extremist Christians before, therefore I was not too shocked and found the site to be very plausible prior to Hawk's revelation.

No man, me too. That's why I was so pissed. If it wasn't for the absolute absurdity of the plumber thread, I never, ever would have blinked. I just would have been pissed. And probably recruited a bunch of people to go mess with the site.
Maybe that's part of the point *shrug*. Although apparently it pissed enough true Fundies that that's an end in an of itself. My first reaction on finding out it was fake was utter shock, an echo of your "oh thank god," and then about three minutes of straight laughter. These guys have balls. And funny as hell once you're in on the joke, too.

Yea, but like you said, its not really fake since the site has gained the attention of so many "fundies" as you put it that they post alongside those who are joking. Its hard to decipher what is meant to be real or not.
