This might be the strangest entertainment news that we have read all day! Rapper 50 Cent thinks former actor Joaquin Phoenix might really have a shot at becoming a hip hop artist.
50 must not have seen his performance earlier this year in Las Vegas as he debuted his rapping talents, or lack thereof, or his interview with late night talk show host David Letterman. He appears to be in operating in some other world.
I really for the most part hate modern day rap. All this crap about "Bling Bling", driving expensive cars and drinking high end drinks is not for me.
I like Hot Karl a lot. His style was more about the art of rapping and not about the crap most rappers sing about. He would mention old Nintendo games, pop culture, and other stuff. That is probably why he no longer raps and got released from Interscope before his album came out.
It is a shame because his music is a lot better than most others and he was not rapping about the same old crap that every other rapper and their brother rap about.

Can I just ask, exactly how retarded do you have to be, in this day and age of practically strip searching everybody and their mother at the airport, to think you can get away with walking through LAX with a bunch of cocaine stuffed down your pants?

Who is Hot Carl? I grew up on Tribe, Wu-tang, grave diggaz so I'm always interested in "new to me" but old rap.

I've always been a fan of Brotha Lynch, gangbanging + cannibalism + = pure entertainment.

i never been able to get into brotha lynch. he just gets on my nerves. him and trick daddy. trick daddy has some songs that are catchy though, so im probably willing to listen to him more than brotha lynch
Most of his music was released free on the internet because he got released before his album came out so they let him do what he wanted with his old stuff. I'm not sure where you can find it now since I first heard about him in 2005 after he was a musical quest on Attack of The Show. I did however buy his album "The Great Escape" on Amazon for a very low price. I highly recommend it.
He also helped write the pop culture book Just Can't Get Enough. You can find my post on it in the reading sub-forum.
