The list is missing two MAJOR Sega-published titles: Madworld and Sonic & The Black Knight, due out March 10th and March 3rd respectively.

Glad to see a date on Guilty Gear. Pissed to see it's coming out a full month after the PS2 and PSP releases. Why release it first on dead platforms?

The Conduit and Madworld are two of my most anticipated realeases of 09', good work SEGA.

Finally a serious shooter and action-brawler built ground up for the wii.

A platform isn't dead until games for it are no longer made.

You know what he is saying, and PS2 is dead for all intensive purposes (they are not making any games from the ground up specifically for it).

The new TigerWoods game is getting Wii MotionPlus support. I might be interested in that. It might actually help with my golf game.

PSP is most certainly dead. PS2 is less dead, and it remains the primary console for some people. But the only stuff it's currently getting are movie games, sports games, Guitar Hero, and random otaku stuff that should have been ported two years ago.

PS2:
The developers of PS2 games started making PS3 Games and realized that they could port shitty versions to the PS2 and in tern emulate them on the Wii. It is the worlds biggest ripoff and companies who do this should be ashamed of themselves.

PSP is dead? I never got the memo.

As for PS2...well, I get the feeling they're still releasing PS2 games for much the same reason they released PS1 games well into the PS2's lifestyle: People with a PS3 can still play them, not everyone has a PS3, and it's a freaking huge install base.

They don't run on any current PS3 systems... the newest models excluded the PS2 Emulator so the Cost would be reduced.

note: THEY FORGOT SUKIODEN ON THE DS! :@

...Well, that was fucking stupid of them.

And they wonder why they're losing. Even Nintendo eventually caught on to the backwards compatibility thing.

Am I the only one that thinks the DS games all seem shitty? Or am I missing some hype?

The DS games are indeed mostly terrible. There's like one or 2 in there that I'd actually wanna play. I'm not interested in "My Sims: Vice City" or "My Horse and Me: Yoshi Edition" as I'm sure most of you aren't either.

But honestly there's a bit of a backlog for me regarding DS games, I still haven't played a lot of the older ones (Phantom Hourglass, Mario & Luigi) so yeah, whatev I guess.

You don't need backwards compatability. You have the endless bountiful fields of the PS3 library at your disposal. You'd never have time to go back, no matter how good the games on the ps2 were, or in fact with Persona 4 and the new Guilty Gear, continue to be.

Narrowing the DS games down to ones I'm interested in.

Quote:
Nintendo DS

Activision/RedOctane
Guitar Hero® On Tour: Modern Hits - June

Aksys Games
Jake Hunter Detective Chronicles: Memories of the Past - May 26

Atlus U.S.A., Inc.
TrackMania® DS - March 17 (This might be the most fun racing game on the DS, even more if you guys ever played the PC games)
Tokyo Beat Down™ - March 31 (BEAT 'EM UP!!! You can never have enough beat 'em ups.)
The Dark Spire™ - April 14
Dokapon Journey™ - April 14
Steal Princess™ - April 21 (Pseudo sequel thing to Landstalker. Who knew?)
Super Robot Taisen® OG Saga:Endless Frontier™ - April 28
Knights in the Nightmare™ - June 2 (This is like the Intelligent Qube of SRPGs. 'nuff said. Look vids up on YouTube and you'll see what I mean)
Shin Megami Tensei®: Devil Survivor™ - June 23

Capcom
Mega Man Starforce 3 Black Ace - June (Pretty much the best, and probably last, of the network timeline Mega Man games... SO much well-needed improvements to the gameplay it's almost insane. If you at least want to try one in the entire BN/SF series, MAKE IT THIS ONE.)

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.
Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times™ - May 5 (Konami's sort of answer to Animal Crossing.. worth a try for me, I guess)
*ding ding* Suikoden Tierkreis *ding ding*

LucasArts
Indiana Jones® and the Staff of Kings™ - Late Spring

Nintendo
Rhythm Heaven - April 5
The Legendary Starfy - June 8 (I can't believe nobody has noticed these yet. An awesome rhythm game and an equally awesome platformer series confined to Japan until now.)

Rockstar Games
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars - March 17 (good GTA is good)

Note that the Atlus lineup survived the axe lovely.

Then why is the Virtual NES for the Wii still in service?
