I'll update you if I get AIM or Skype, but I usually register for things online as either Char Aznable, or CasvalKnight. For example, my photobucket is under CasvalKnight, but my DGemu (a ROM site) account is under Char Aznable. I use CasvalKnight when Char Aznable is already taken, as Casval is Char's actual name in Gundam (Char is his alias), and I used this name for the created character I mainly use on SoulCalibur 3, who just happens to be a knight. So, there you have it.

I don't know how to break it to you... but AIM stands for AOL INSTANT MESSENGER...

I know, but now there are other IM programs that can interface with AIM, so it has basically become a generic term interchangeable with IM.

Char, try a program called gaim. It's a little lighter than the regular aim program, and you can connect to other chat protocols with it

My internet host had a chat-room server already built in to the account, it just had to be installed. And if my old host had it, Dreamhost has to have one.

Anyone who IMs me without indentifing themselves usually gets jerked around until they have confessed their identity. Though there's still people on my buddylist that I have no idea who they are.

Same here. It's just really annoying, especially if people ASSUME you know who they are, unless there is a screen name similarity if you know them somewhere else. When Syd messaged me, I knew it was him because... how could you not?
My AIM is SaiyanEsperJDA, though I must say I'm rarely on. I suppose I'll get on now to add people. Hell, even if we can't get a chat on here, we could potentially all chat on AIM/GAIM. I'm pretty sure GAIM support the AIM multi-chat doohickey.

GAIM kinda sucks, especially if more than one person with different font preferences use it. You all have the same font and you share a list of away messages and stuff. I really don't like it, but once in a while I'm forced to use it.
And yeah, I get annoyed when people IM me without identifying themselves, but I do it all the time. Maybe since when I IM a member of a forum with the name JeebusFnChrist I figure they'll probably be able to figure it out easily enough.

I junked GAIM and went to AIM. It's way different now, and I like it.
Also, can someone post a list of AIM names so I don't have to go hunting for them, please?
