James Franco,

I was talking to my friend Jack the other day and he said you weren't a very good actor. And I agreed with him. Now James, why - why would we both say that?

The guy that plays Peter Parker's friend in the Spider man movies.

I like him because of an interview I saw him do promoting Pineapple Express. He said he doesn't smoke weed or anything and they asked him how he was able to look stoned, and he said he just pretended wind was blowing in his eyes. The movie may not be great, but that's the best advice ever for acting stoned.

Okay okay, James Franco does appear to be a horribly bad actor especially when considering that quasi acid trip, Spiderman 3. But then again that whole movie was like the worst movie ever made, like EVER, ...so that isn't a real testament to Franco.... After that, he moved along to make Pineapple Express, where he was featured: kicking out the window of a cop car while driving, performing some sweet dance moves including the worm, not to mention getting stabbed with a fork... and TOTALLY REDEEMED HIMSELF!

Fuck all you people. Pineapple Express was awesome.

And Spiderman 3, while not quite GOOD, doesn't deserve the insane amount of hate it gets.

Are you fucking kidding me?

It deserves to be ripped to shreds, pissed on, fed to a wookie and shit out in a galaxy far far away where it can't pollute our solar system any more.

Emo Peter Parker is the worst idea since Syd decided to go on Fear Factor.

Spiderman 3 really wasn't that bad. It wasn't nearly as good as the second one and they were trying to do to much in it, but it's not horrible by any means.

If you want to see horrible, try watching the 2 Fantastic Four movies. Go on, I dare you.

I saw both Fantastic Four movies.

Lets just say that the first was a D film at best. The second one doesn't even deserve an F. It just blew so bad that it should be locked in a vault at the bottom of the Marianas Trench where it can never hurt anyone ever again.

For me, Spiderman three barely deserves a D, I'd even say a D- would probably be the appropriate rating. It was not average, it was below average and so much so, that I would rather watch Fantastic Four (the first one) instead.

I still see Spiderman 3 as just a disappointment than a straight-out horrid film. Yeah, the Emo Pete scenes were cheesy and stupid, and none of the villains added up to one Doc Ock, but it still had some pretty decent action, and I think it tied up the Harry's story arc nicely, if predictably.

And, yeah, the Fantastic Four movies blew (at least the first one, didn't see the second). I admit, though, that I liked Michael Chiklis as The Thing.

(Off topic, I was in a Christian Phenomenon class over January, and we watched the movie Amazing Grace. I was looked at funny by everyone for describing it as "Mr. Fantastic pulling a British Abraham Lincoln.")

Want to love Spiderman 3?

Watch Daredevil first, then follow it with S3. You'll think it's Citizen Kane.

1. Citizen Kane is terribly boring. If you're a film major you should watch it, otherwise pass.
2. Watch the director's cut of Daredevil. It's actually a watchable film, unlike the theatrical version.

i hate ben affleck, so i dont want to watch DD.

and S3 felt as though they tried to cram 800+ comic books into a 2 hour movie. and it ended up failing. badly

the first hellboy felt the same way to me too, but it was a decent film. and it didnt make me want to puke

while spider man 3 is really no proper measurement of talent to james franco (who is probably one of my favorite actors) he did manage to make the movie almost watchable, and would've made a better peter parker then tobey maguire.
