I'm leaving in like 20 minutes for my work Christmas party (There's gonna be 7 of us there so it's not a party so much as a free meal), and one of my bosses and I have already agreed to split the kangaroo appetizer. No, this is NOT a joke. So my question to all of you is the title of the thread!

I haven't eaten anything really strange, but my uncle is an international businessman, so he ate monkey brains in Singapore with some clients. They ate at a special table with a hole in it that held a still living monkey by the neck. They just sawed off the top of the monkey's head, and picked warm brains out while the thing twitched under the table. Both inhumane and utterly disgusting at the same time.

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE! I ate this shit at a restaurant when I was at Delaware getting my Master's. We had "kangaroo nachos," which are the same as regular nachos, except instead of beef, it had kangaroo on it. It tasted a lot like beef, but saltier.
Kinda skeeved me out though.

Finally, someone else who uses the term "Skeeves", or other forms of said term. I use it a lot, but nobody else in Missouri say it, so I normally get the "what the hell are you talking about" look.

Well I haven't added a new animal on to the list of "delicious meat products" since I tried goat at an Indian restaurant a couple years ago. The place we're going also has elk, ostrich, bison, and some others so I may give more a try tonight!

I've never eaten anything particularly crazy.
But now I'm tempted to try kangaroo.

Flashback to the Winter of 1997. (good times in '97.)
I was 9. It was a day before my mom went food shopping, and NOTHING was in the refrigerator but a bunch of food I didn't like, The only things I found in the fridge of use to me was some bread and ketchup. So I added 2 and 2 together, and created the Ketchup Sandwich. It was good (as a 9 year old.)
I stopped eating it 2 years ago.

Fun fact: Ostrich is apparently one of the highest forms of bird quality you can eat. I had it once. Tastes like dry chicken to me.

Well I'll let everyone know how the kangaroo is. I heard Ostrich is really, really good when I worked in the butcher shop of a supermarket, but it was too expensive to try especially since I didn't really know how to cook it. And I had buffalo jerky as well. It was fantastic.

Well they were all out of kangaroo
I had the ostrich filet and it was really good though. Tasted basically like a strip steak, but there was clearly something else there that I can't find the right description for.

I ate ostrich a few times. We got them for cheap because my parents know a guy who raises ostriches.
Note: At first I wrote "fathers" instead of "parents". Oh boy.

Never had shark, but I am told it's quite good.
Add that, along with Kangaroo and Ostrich to the list of animals I need to try.

I love eating spaghetti with cottage cheese and peanut butter. I think it's genetic, because my dad eats that too, yet he wasn't around when I was growing up.

...do you have marinara saucse on all that shit too? I can't even begin to figure out what that would taste like, and while you've combined 3 things I enjoy, I can't imagine the conglomoration would be that delicious.

Yes, I do. I always forget to mention that because when I think of spaghetti, I think of the pasta and the sauce, which I know is a bit lacking. So yea... marinara sauce, spaghetti, cottage cheese, and peanut butter. I don't even remember how I came upon it.

I was once asked to eat Hampster treats... so I did... it was disappointing! They tasted like stale cheetos... but without the zesty cheese! Aside from that, my favorite seafood is squid (or the culinary term calamari)... it's not strange, but everyone I know thinks it's repulsive.
