There was a hole in IE 7 that easily allowed backdoor access to hackers. This report came out yesterday and I remember seeing an article about the hole's major recognition about a month or so ago. This on top of all else wrong with IE, why the fuck would anyone want to use IE unless they were forced to?
RIP Hacker.

Not to derail the thread, but QF fucking T. I just got my sisters hooked up with Firefox. Not perfect, but a hell of a lot better than IE. I so, so dislike that browser in general (its interface just doesn't do it for me.)

How the fuck did my RAWR thread turn into a browser war thread?
Fuck you all.
Also, I stated that page 4 was the end of the line for me. I have since taken my meds and am not feeling like I need to flip out any longer.

Exactly. The last two pages haven't been "RAWR," so it has to go somewhere...

I use Firefox because IE always randomly shuts down.

This is a problem with your computer.
Using Firefox just masks the larger issue.
IE isn't a broken product.

No. This has happened on multiple computers, all with no problems besides IE.

Consider that you use all those computers. Perhaps it is you.

IE is slow as hell too.
It is the slowest browser when it comes to rendering certain types of content such as javascript.
However, in this day and age, most people can't tell the difference between browser speeds because javascript isn't used for major coding. Chrome and Firefox are building a way towards that changing, but it hasn't yet.
Oh, and if you want to know which browser I use, I use Firefox, IE, and Chrome. I feel that Safari and Opera are behind the curve.
Bring better arguments to the table if you want to fight about browsers.

I can assure you it is not me. I have used IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera (on the Wii). IE is the only one with problems.
