The good news is that this the "good" kind of bankruptcy, the kind that means the company isn't throwing in the towel quite yet. K-Mart reorganized under Chapter 11 and was able to reemerge as a viable competitor to Target.

That's good. I hope that can reorganize themselves and re-emerge as a once again powerful adversary!

I do wonder who'd pick up all their assets if they went under the bad way though. Depending on who, it could've been bad or good. Hypothetical, but something to keep in mind if Midway doesn't get its shit together.

RIP Hacker.

I know I say this every time a company's in trouble, but I think Nintendo should buy them. Nintendo needs to move more aggressively into the teen/adult market, and acquiring the MK publisher would allow them to do so without violencing up any of its own core franchises.

I hate to say it, but Nintendo will never be like it was in the 80's and early 90's.

And then we could see MK characters in a Smash Bros game. That would be cool.

That's good to hear, I guess. At least we still have a lot of hope for Midway.

QFT man. I really wish they would start putting out more adult material. Not that I OBJECT to the kiddie stuff, if its high quality, but when that's pretty much ALL you do (especially when you have as much talent as Nintendo has) its kind of irritating.
