So yesterday I skipped school...but for a slightly justifiable reason; sleep deprivation. Apparently I needed it, because I slept from 7 AM to 3 PM, then from 5 PM to 10 PM, then from 1 AM to 5 AM. I understand that it doesn't exactly make me Mr. Troublemaker, but hey, it was my first time.
Anyone ever skipped school to actually have fun or do something worthwhile?

I did it way too much in High School.
My high school used an automated calling sytem when you missed a class. It would just say "Your son or daughter missed one or more classes today." After I got my own phone line my junior year, I forged a note from my parents that said we got a new phone number and gave them mine.
It made it way too easy.

I once asked permission to skip Guitar class twice because the substitute was a fucking idiot who couldn't play. So I stayed at home and watched The View with my mom. God damn.

I didn't skip in high school much, but I'd skip classes in college to sleep, hang out with people, go to Walmart, etc. Still passed everything though. Well, except art history, but that had nothing to do with attendance...

Back in the day when my mom went to work before I went out to the bus, and also got home before her made it extremely easy. My school normally didn't report absence either besides on the report cards, which also contributed to the ease of doing so.

I grew up 10 minutes from the beach in South Florida. I spent way too many days surfing and not learning. It was fun, but it landed me in Parris Island instead of college.

I actually never skipped a class but I'd very often in my first year of middle school go to school and then go to the office and say I was sick. My elementary school would rarely let you go home unless you were really sick. The middle school didn't really care though and I would be able to go home for only being slightly sick.

I faked sick a few times and went home. Sometimes in high school I skipped classes and walked around in the hallways.

Unfortunately you can't do that at my high school; the assistant principal monitors the halls on a half-hour basis, presumably because he has nothing better to do. Heck, people can't even go to the restroom without being interrogated by Cue-ball.

I never skipped in high school, but I've slept through a few classes in college. You might think that these were morning classes, but both classes I slept through were at noon. :/ I gotta quit watching movies until four AM.

I used to sleep through the first half of every Art History class. I didn't get my book til halfway through the second semester of it, and then never even read the damn thing, never took notes, and never studied. I have no idea how I passed.

Every 2nd or 3rd Friday out of the school year in my 7th and 8th grade years (unless my sister was sick).
I skipped several college classes thanks to being able to play Dreamcast in the student lounge.
I even got to miss a day of class thanks to Braveheart. My mom thought it was just a 2 hour movie, but after it's 3+ish hour run AND a stop by Steak n Shake for a milk shake, she said I wouldn't have the energy for school and let me stay home.

I have to force myself to go to class anymore. I skip most classes at least once a week. It's horrible.
I have no idea what my problem is. It's not like I have anything better to do.

Yeah, my mom was a teacher at my high school lol, so I couldn't do it on the sly. She was really cool though, and would occasionally let me call in "sick" if I got way behind on sleep and/or homework and needed a catch-up day. She figured that she got sick days--why shouldn't I? lol.
In college I didn't make a habit of cutting class, but I did occasionally skip a class or two. Never for an amazingly fun reason--more like I needed to finish an essay, or it was hockey season and I wanted to play, etc. Very rarely did I take a whole day off illegitimately.

While I am at work I tend to leave an IRC client logged into the chat room.
I noticed that M3GA_MAN was in there.
When he was asked why he wasn't at school, he replied that he had sprained his wrist.
Yet there he was typing away.
So M3GA_MAN spent his day of skipping in the IRC chat room. No offense to the chat room, but LAME.
Also, I think he sprained his wrist giving himself "The Stranger".
