A lot of the games on that list aren't very good, though. It's like bragging about how you own every Dynasty Warriors game.

True, I would like to own his "black box" collection though. Not that those games are that amazing either, but I think its a cool looking monument to Nintendo and my childhood.

I wish I could start a collection like that, but my pay sucks.

Fuck that.
They are all sealed. I don't want that. I have games to play them.
Sure I keep them afterward in the misplaced hope that they will gain value but damn.
I would never buy a sealed game like that. What a waste.

He has 2 copies of each. Ones he can play, and the ones that sit upon his bookshelf that say I have no kids, I am awesome, and I have way too much money to burn.

What's wrong with the Dynasty Warrior games? I love them. So, do the Japanese, where they sell like crazy.

I think your just razzing him but its like saying I own all 3 rbi baseballs and mario bros./duck hunt. PLUS SUPER MARIO Bros. 3 ZOMG.
While a lot of those black box games sealed sell for quite a bit, I don't see the point. A complete collection of all the games would impress me much more than say a huge lot of unopened games.

Actually, I might buy a sealed game, just so I could have that "new game" feel.
I honestly did that once with a sealed copy of Resident Evil 0 I bought from a used video game shop.

This guy's collection is nice, but pales in comparision to the collection I saw on mnsbc a couple of months back. Virutally every game on every system and numerous full standing arcade games to boot. That was awe-inspiring.

IMO, the Dynasty Warriors games are extremely formulaic. Each game basically consists of "mash a button while 40+ enemies fill the screen, repeat ad nauseum". Although, I think a better analogy would've been that it's like bragging that you own every Mario Party game.

No " "?
Mario Party seems to be brainless minigames based purely on luck, and Mario Party shares the problem with Dynasty Warriors that each incarnation makes virtually zero major improvements to the gameplay formula.

I enjoy the Dynasty/Samurai/Orochi Warriors games, as for Mario Party, me and most other people agree it was at it's best with MP2 and every game after the fifth installment sucked or got old fast.

Thats a pretty neat collection, and to have every launch title for a system is somethin else. To have it for NES is even more cool, and I understand why he kept them sealed. At least he bought 2 copies of each game so he could play them.

But, in both those cases, having all of them in a series is still a collection, that most people don't have.
Maybe, you should use the Maddens or something, so as not to offend anyone here. You can take a steaming pile on that franchise, and I won't blink an eye.
I mean, I have both the full US Final Fantasy collection from I - X2 that spans 4 systems. I also have the full "Romance Of The Three Kingdoms" set (I-XI) that spans 6 systems.

It's not that I have anything against any of those games - it's just that, in my opinion, why bother making a sequel to a game if you aren't going to make any improvements whatsoever? Just...sameness?
And I collect certain series as well; I have every Silent Hill game, and every Final Fantasy except IX.

I have some sealed games. Well, until I bring them home and pop them in the system.

You do know that the original Dynasty Warriors on the Playstation was a one on one fighting game, and is a far cry from Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires, which is a huge tactical strategy / battlefield game, right?

One on one fighter for Playstation, you say? I had no idea. Might have to give that a try.
