Sounds like someone cut down one too many peach trees and forgot to pick up some trash.

Find someone else to give you a loan for a house in this economy.

Especially with no interest and such a liberal payment plan.

I remember the first day I played Animal Crossing. I was supposed to put an advertisement on the billboard for Nook's shop. He said not to write anything embarrassing on there. Well, I accidentally wrote his name as Tom Hook. When I noticed it, I couldn't edit or remove it, and I was kind of embarrassed about it. Thankfully no actual person visited my town.

You don't ever actually have to pay off your second story.

I always did because there just wasn't a lot to buy. You can get cash really easy.

I had a second town (since AC came with a memory card, not that big of a deal) with a different local fruit. I would head over there, fill all my slots with fruit (all inventory slots plus 8 letters) head back, and sell them all for 500 a pop. Easy money.

Way too much effort for a game that offered virtually nothing back.

Except NES games. Smile

Besides, the game had a seriously addictive quality. I can't explain it, but I know a few times I've turned it on expecting to play about 20 minutes (to check new stuff at the shop) and lost an entire afternoon.

Sort of like my experience with Harvest Moon. I can't explain it, but when I start playing Harvest Moon, I can't stop.

Harvest Moon has some actual depth to it though.

I did like the original Animal Crossing though. I fucked around with the internal clock hardcore so I could catch all the fish and insects.

I have Animal Crossing on the DS, and I used to do this constantly. Other than catching bugs and fish (which was completely addicting), I never really understood the appeal of Animal Crossing.

Question: Do you have Animal Crossing: City Folk?

I remember playing the shit out of the first Animal Crossing. Then I took a vacation for a week and when I came back the whole fucking town was covered with weeds... what a bunch of bullshit.

I had Wild World. Played it a bit, got my second house, and then said fuck it. Although smashing roaches by dragging around an Arwing statue was pretty hilarious.
