Wait, so you like pour saltwater in the coin slot and money comes out of the change pocket? This works? Is it legal?

Between the vandalism and the theft, I don't see how it could be legal.

Wow, I just remembered that one day back when Surge first came out, everyone got a free can of the stuff near the end of the day. For some reason I remember leaving with 3 cans of it though.

haha you're like me then Sathien. I always get more than my share of free goods. Every once in a while they have these hot chicks walk around the university giving out free Red Bull. It's pretty awesome.

I can't stand the taste of Red Bull (I prefer Monster Khaos or Full Throttle). I also remember when they let the seniors have a big luau (after 2nd period, we got to spend the rest of the day outside around the baseball diamond/track and field yard), they had bag lunches by Chik-fil-a. I wound up taking a backpack with me and sneaking about 5 more bags to sell for $1 each on the bus on the ride home.

No, it isn't legal, if it were legal, it wouldn't be FUN. What the salt and water does is short circuit the machine, causing it to malfunction. Boom, out pop sodas and change. It doesn't work on all machines and newer machines i am told have a defense mechanism against this. I wouldn't try salting anymore, but there are "hacks" for vending machines, most of them not worthwhile...

Like making a certain depth cut at a certain length on $1s and $5s to get the bill back when you use them for change machines.
Getting back on topic, my school had a Fruitopia vending machine in the cafeteria as well.

Well it isn't entirely free, it's more of a two for one.
The ones with conveyor belts you see, they have a door between the inside of the vending machine and the slot where you grab the pop. What you do is put your money in, order a drink of your choice, then reach in the drink slot and hold that door shut. The belt will push the pop towards the door, and after a few seconds will detect an error and go back to the bottom, with the pop on the belt, and spit your money back out.
Now put your money back in, order a pop (I suggest one in the _1 or _2 slot) then when it goes to give you your new pop, it'll drop the first one out first, so you grab that fucker quick and let the belt drop your new pop down. Bam, two can drink for the price of one |
holy shit that's a good idea

1-2 years ago when i went to my aunts house my uncle had to repair some thing at a apartment complex so my brothers and i went along with him and we decided to mes around with a tire swing. i passed a vending machine and hit the change button as i walked by. later my younger brother tells me to go to the vending machine. so i do and see a shit load of change in the change slot. i grab it before my brother then leave later i realize i had hit the change button so i go back do it again and more change pops out i grab some and give the rest to my younger brother. when ii counte how much i had it was like 10 dollars
gotta love those broken vending machines

My friends and I always do what we call "Jackpot." We put in our change and then hit a ton of buttons. Sometimes we'll get 2 drinks. There have been times when we've gotten 3 or 4. Once, we didn't get any and I was pissed so I punched the machine. It spit out about $5 worth of quarters, so it was great.

Heh, i used to do a trick like this too. I try my luck by selecting two potential sodas and rapidly select both of them simultaneously. Sometimes, i get the buy one get one deal. Sometimes, just one or the other. Sometimes, the machine gets fucked up.
Still, it's great fun, kind of like gambling...
