Wah Wah Wah. You guys are such babies. Let me say this: I don't believe in affirmative action simply because i think a PRIVATE business has the right to hire whomever they want. But really? How many people do you know lost a job to a black person? Probably none. I'm tired of this BS attitude America has that the poor white man is somehow losing out now due to new laws and the rising popularity of Black culture. I know a whole lot of white people, and the ones that have any sort of head on their shoulders are doing just fine. The ones that aren't, are idiots who have nobody to blame but themselves for unemployment, poor life choices, etc.
Now on the flipside, if I were black I would be offended by the law as it indirectly suggests that without government help, I cannot get a job on my own merits.

Well, we're the majority. It's how it is. We don't have the same history of oppression or whatever, so the insults or "looking down us" have less weight to them.

We should get rid of affirmative action because I'm tired of white people whining about the matter.
While a minority may resent a man for the color of their skin, they are, in America, not in the economic or social position to really leverage it in the same way that an entrenched majority would be able to. That is to say, this was the argument in the sixties. Maybe its cause I live in New Mexico, where its about even between hispanics and whites, but I've never seen it occur either where an incompetant minority was hired over a superior white candidate, or the reverse. Its a weird entitlement thing. Nobody's should be owed a job, and if you can't get it, its probably as much your fault as anything.
