Well damn, up until this point I thought your name was IcewOrm. I need glasses.

You're not the first. One time I went to an internet gaming cafe with my cousin. It was my first time at this particular one and I had to set up an account. I told then I wanted the name IceWarm and they entered it as IceWorm. I couldn't log in so I went up to the desk to ask them what they put in and they were like, we put it in as IceWorm. I was like I said IceWarm but I'll just use the one you gave me. It has been a good couple years since I've been to an internet gaming cafe.

For a while in the late 90's, I used the name Ferahgo for character names or online games or whatnot. It all started with the game Darkness Falls and its sequel, Darkness Falls: The Crusade (which I'm sure absolutely no one here has heard of). When I created my second character in that game, I named him Dandin. A couple of years later, I got into a MUD game, Core, that had somewhat-enforced RP, that required you to use a name that was original, not from any movie, tv show or book. Since both Ferahgo and Dandin are names taken from the Redwall series of books, I sort of lumped them together and came up with Fernin. Over the years (read: once Darkness Falls: The Crusade was shut down because the bastards at Mythic didn't want to support it any longer), I stopped using Ferahgo, and used Fernin more often.

I created my name when I was 7. I was creating a bunch of fighters for a fighting game I was conceptualizing (it also had Lin Kuei type ninjas that that had elemental powers) and one of the main protagonists was named Rycona. The name always stuck in my mind, though I never used it again until I started getting online.

The pronunciation I assigned is Rye-Kahn-uh. When I started going to LAN parties a few years ago, everyone pronounced it Rye-Cone-uh, which makes sense in terms of standard English pronunciation schemes. I tried correcting people for months, but I eventually gave up. Either one is really fine, I suppose.

I read it as Rye-Kahn-uh I guess I typically assume most vowels are the long/hard versions.

I still prefer to think you took Fenrir and reversed the Rs and Ns. Sorry.

My name is a reference to Majora's Mask. This was before I did the whole Goomba thing.

Mine's pretty easy. Hawks are my favorite animal, and "Hawk" has also been my nickname since I was a little kid. 'Soldier' because I'm in the Army. *shrug*

Well it started as Marine79 because I joined on the night of the Marine Corps B-day and was severely drunk. This combined with Sydlexia being my first forum, my creativity level was less than maxed out. So when I decided to change I went with the two movie characters my girl says I remind her of the most. Ash from Evil Dead and Jack from Big Trouble.

One day you thought of the word insano (possibly from The Waterboy) and thought it would sound cool with doctor in front of it?

Funny thing is, someone back in my high school days said I stole it from that movie.... I think he said Captain insano or some shit like that. Funnier thing was I hadn't even seen the movie when I made up my moniker.... call me a liar, call me a fraud, but that's a partial story of my name i guess.

Well, see, that's the name I was born with.

The story behind THAT name? I was named after a character from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Mine I got from letting my mind wander. I'd been watching some old zombie movies and wrote a tongue-in-cheek article about zombie reproduction (ie, zombies don't fuck, they bite, therefore braineating must be zombie sex, and so on...). Thinking along these lines, it seems a lot of zombie stories lately don't use religious or supernatural stories but more along the lines of biological agents, a la Resident Evil or 28 Days Later. I thought that if there was a disease that causes zombies, which are undead, I'd call it Undeath.

I thought this was clever and original (and to a point, still do) but I'm not quite so sure I'm the first to come up with it; I THINK D&D might've beaten me to it. But either way, it's still kind of clever.

I am Fred. Three other Freds have preceeded me. A fifth most likely wont happen. Fred Fredburger is humorous but don't call me by his name. I am not a grilled ground meat patty.

Anyway, I was told there would be punch. By someone... Somewhere... At some point... I'm gonna go find it now...

I have a sig because I was told to. Now leave me be about it.

I was young, I was playing RuneScape, and I HAD TO TRY TWENTY THOUSAND FUCKING TIMES TO FIND A NAME THAT WASN'T TAKEN.

So, I chose SevereFlame.
