The kid might say stupid shit and stuff, the majority of which most of you don't care about, but so do most of you. A quick flip through the back pages revealed way more retarded posts started by vets here.

Tried this it didn't work. Starting a thread about shaving your head? no prob. starting a thread just stating that you shaved your head and that's it?...well you do the math. I'd lock the thread but I'll go with Jeebus on this one and look and see where it goes.

I was "one of the cool kids" in high school. However, I also made it a point to get a long with kids from all the different cliques and groups. It's the best way to go about things I think.

Same here, drew. I was one of the "cool kids" as well, but I was a bit of a douche to many kids. I played baseball, dressed preppy, but when the lights went down and no one was around...I would don my Motley Crue bandanna and engage in hours of Final Fantasy on the SNES. Deep down I have always been an outcast, but too much of a pussy to not conform. I am a NERD, and I am damn proud to be one!

I was well liked in high school, but not in the "popular crowd". That's reserved for preps and whatnot.

I pretty much was middle of the road and had cool friends, loser friends, nerd friends, dropout friends, jock friends, debate/band dork friends. The preps all thought I was kind of a thug and all of the thugs all thought I was kind of a prep.

I pretty much hung out with everyone. Because of this, I never really had any pressure of worrying about what other people thought.

heheh, I didn't mean everyone. Hell, my school was weird, and everyone more or less got along.. there was never the whole jocks beating up the nerds deal at my school. I knew everybody and was liked by most. I wasn't personally insulting everyone.. Just like everyone doesn't bash hacker. I guess I was generalising because I noticed that the shit rolls down hill.. not just here but everywhere.

Anyways, I had a similar phillosophy to yourself. I enjoy the company of many different types of people.

I was fairly popular. I wasn't a polo wearing douche, but I was in the teir below. Very Happy There were 4-5 teirs of popularity. I was in the second. And I've treated everyone who could speak intelligently well.

Ya dick.

I was pretty popular. Second place on prom court. I'm a weird dude, though. A football playing, wrestling computer geek who was relatively good in the theater ( I did suck at the sports, though). I made friends with just about everyone I could, but I was stubborn enough not to conform to what those people wanted me to be. I think that earned their respect.

That, and my graduating class was forty-three students.

What the fuck does every one have against nice clothes around here!? Jesus christ, just because some people prefer to wear clothes that aren't cheaply made and aren't made one size fits all, doesn't make them a douche!

Walmart clothes are the same quality as name brand clothes. Buying name brand clothes does not make you any more nice looking either. And Walmart clothes have more than one size.

I know! Sorry I prefer to look nice rather than wear my Uncles "Stryper" t-shirt with holes and vomit stains on it.

There are just too many situations here to even talk about. First off, I buy my own clothes, which I'm sure at least 85% of us here do as well, but there's that other percentage

LMFAO!!! Cheap clothes are just as nice as name brand clothes. If your clothes have holes and vomit stains on them, then you are one filthy motherfucker, but that has nothing to do with the kind of clothes you can buy.

Cheap clothes are NOT just as nice as brand name clothes. That's why they're cheap. The thread counts are lower, the materials are crap, etc. If I wanted to wear polyester I'd go to the Salvation Army. (Which I have done on occasion.)

I know, that's what I'm saying. I buy Wal-Mart, Goodwill, or even fucking Magic-Mart if they have what I need. I'm poor, so it's not a competition for who looks nicest, or who looks more metal, or who looks edgy.

I get so pissed when I see kids in their BMW ride up to the Goodwill when I am legitimately trying to buy some shirts or jackets and they are pointing and laughing at everything while they walk around in their P. Diddy jackets with the fake fur hood and their edgy converse all stars. I will kill you all and piss on your spinning rims.

Well, I've wore walmart clothes plenty of times, and I did a great job of taking care of them.

I have Converse All-Stars. Two pairs. But that's only because I got them for Christmas. Like I've said, I only get hand-me-downs, which do me fine. The only clothing I buy (which I have to save up for) is concert t-shirts.

Style is a weird thing. I don'tbash prep wear even though I don't wear it myself, but on the same token, I'm the guy who has everything from tour t-shirts to three piece suits in my closet. I think I'm the only guy who has a tie rack next to a blood stained GWAR tour shirt.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas.

No sir, you are not. I've kept all 4 of my bloody, semen covered GWAR shirts.

Fake GWAR blood and semen, just for clarification.

I don't think the original point was cheap vs expensive. I think it was people associating polo shirts (collared shirts, not Polo the brand) with preps. Nice being a shirt with a collar vs a t-shirt.

Well, yeah, fake blood and semen, too, but real blood as well. Getting pushed up against the metal rail by assholes behind you sucks.

It's hard to not laugh at the words "rail, behind, assholes, bloody, and semen" all in the same sentence.

I'm so sorry.

Just to clarify, I wasn't associating polo shirts and pre-ripped jeans with douchebags. I just associate polo shirts and pre-ripped jeans (two fashion I just can't do, I have this weird thing against collars on non-suit shirts Confused ) with stores like A&F, Hollister, and American Eagle. I have nothing against those stores, just SOME of the people that like, create this whole yuppie douchbag culture. The same can be said about Hot Topic (a store that has clothes I like) and Starbucks (a place I visit AT LEAST once a week). I don't even know what the prices are in those stores hahaha

I get what you were saying. Not everyone that wears the stuff is a douchebag, but douchebags wear it. Well, all of the douchebags in question.

I remember I felt like you when I was in high school. Then, my junior year, me and all of my friends decided to steal their look basically. I was half cool, half loser, so I could pretty much get away with wearing whatever. But as a group, people looked at us differently when we started dressing like that. It turned out, I looked a lot better in those clothes than what I had been wearing. So I've been dressing like that ever since.
