While chatting in #sydlexia earlier today, DarknessDeku mentioned a trivia bot that had been planned in the past, but apparently never came about. Well, after getting the okay from Syd, I hunted around and found a bot that we can call our own. It came with a lot of interesting features (some of which will likely have to be turned off, but we'll see), and fortunately for us, it comes with a Trivia game already programmed, with craptons of questions (most of which will be tossed out to make room for more questions about recent movies, tv shows, and, most particularly, video games).

Here's where you all come in now... The little details of the bot. What should the bot's name be? What should he (or she) say to people when they come in the room? What sort of things should the bot say in general?

Let me know what you think, and send me some trivia questions! Either PM me or email them to me, we don't need everyone knowing the answers before they're even programmed in.

Not at all, the only tedious bit is getting all the questions together. After that, it's just putting them into the file that it reads them from, everything else is already finished.

Once again, I'm putting the call out to the sydlexians to send in any trivia questions they can think of. So far, the bot only has 81 video game questions programmed in. Both Not Sure and joshwoodzell have offered to send me questions, but the more questions I get, the less likely we are to see repeats! Any topic you want is fine, be it video games, movies, television, music, comic books, stuff about the forum members, anything! I'd greatly appreciate any help you can give at this point.

...The name's already decided on, it's LexiaBot9000. If you want to make suggestions, though, I'm still looking for words for it to respond to, especially if they're specific to forum or chatroom members. I have it set to respond to docinsano whenever he says "Boneur" (which now has everyone saying boneur in there...), so if there's anything certain people say all the time, that'd be great.
