Nope... can't find any of my characters there. (Even if it had worked, I don't remember what they were all named...)

you should still be able to log on to your old account if you remember the account name and/or password.

i played for a while. i had a rogue and quit before BC came out. i was on the scarlet crusade RP server and my characters name was 'character.'

then i started a druid and his name was 'anotherguy'

Please tell me that if you ever have kids, you'll name them something like "maleoffspring" and "anotherchild".

and tyop, i dont plan on having kids ever, but if i ever do embark down that road, i wouldnt be opposed to those suggestions. now to find a girl who would be down for such ridiculousness

Well, after a bit of trial and error, I remembered my old account name and password... But upon logging in, it tells me that the account has no characters. I dunno if my account was hacked, or if the characters just disappeared due to how long I didn't play for... I never really had any plans to play again, but it makes me kinda sad that now I have absolutely nothing to show for the long hours I put into that game.

Yeah, I play WoW, just started my account back up on the 4th of Jan. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if you're account is active or not to see your characters.

Gorefiend - Zerotol, LVL 38 Warrior currently, he's my only main.

So I've decided on playing a lock, and I'm having fun with it, but the same thing is killing me as usual- playing alone. There's just something inherently better about having a guild or some friends to talk to to occasionally break up the monotony.

Few cool additions in today's patch are having Death Knights on any server, using any mounts despite race, more graveyards, faster death speed, and a few other big criticisms of the game.

How does the payment work? don't you have to buy the game and then pay monthly or every 3 months for the online play? Either way, that's fucked because I don't want to continue paying after I buy a game.

What justifies these payments anyway?, or are they just doing it cause they can?

I'm sorry for all the questions, this game just generally makes me angry.

its $14.95/month or
$13.95/3 months or
$12.95/6 months.

the fee is supposed to justify server maintenance, which at 13 million unique players, i dont blame them. i believe the fee is a little too high but, 13 million people disagree w/me.

every tuesday, they tweak gameplay elements, or add new stuff, so people keep coming back and doing the same thing over and over just to maybe get a chance to get the new item

Even if they made $0.00 profit from WoW retails sales and subscriptions, they have free advertising for all of their other games to millions who are their direct target audience.

They have made the single best ad campaign of all time. They charge their potential customers to be a part of it, and then charge them for the products they will buy in the future. Brilliant!

It's justified by the fact that they're constantly adding massive updates, such as new dungeons, armors, weapons, mounts, items, talents, abilities, etc. several times a year, tweak classes, provide reliable servers with tons of players (even cross-server pvp). Really, it depends on your tastes. Some people just want a large online RPG, and will only play it. I enjoy finding new strategies to help in pvp and experience massive coordinated battles with other players.

Not to sound like a dick, but you should really try tabletop. 4.0 is very accessable and a good DnD game is so satisfying it has to be experienced.

I've sat in on them, and they're far too tedious. I've never understood WRPG's and their random hit generation systems.
