I just fired up my account again to try the free ten days for Lich King, and I'm looking for some people to play with. In b4 "WoW sucks, loser," I'm really just in the mood for this type of game right now.

Used to. I might fire it up again someday if I'm in the mood. Be prepared to see tons of Death Knights. It seems like that's what most people play for since the class came out, it takes the whole enjoyment out of the game for me.

I want you all to repeat after me:

Now, your turn.*SNICKER*

As per the rest of my WoW related posts. It ruined 2 years of my life. My new addiction is this website. Someday maybe I'll shun SydLexia.com and say it ruined my life, but for now, I'll be content with just avoiding WoW.

Sorry for the downer, I just think the game is designed to constantly pull people back in every time an expansion comes out.

I'm more interested in starting from scratch with a magic class for once (probably a Warlock), since I can't decide on any talents for my Rogue. Also, the addiction has never been a real problem for me. I can't sit there in front of a computer for hours and hours. In fact, from the time I started WoW to the time I quit, I ended up getting better grades and losing 40 pounds (though I guess the weight loss could be blamed more on dishwashing 50 hours per week and eating once a day).

I've been playing it since the summer of 2005. I have yet to get to level 70 or 80 with either of my main character but I still enjoy the game a lot. I have a level 61 human Warlock and a level 62 Orc Hunter.

Yeah, I worked on and off on my 64 Rogue (turned 60 the DAMN DAY BC was released... no raids for me ), until my friends beat the game a million times over and quit the server. I wouldn't have taken up the offer to play again if I hadn't read that leveling from 20-60 was made to be easier.

I am most proud of my Warlock character because I hit level 60 before BC came out and also before they dropped the level XP requirements. I remember the requirement to get from 39 to 40 originally was like 100,000 XP. They dropped it considerably after BC came out.

I'm in the 'played for a while and will never play again' group. I played over the summer of 05 with a couple of friends... they both had 60's, I never made it higher than 34. ...Or possibly 32, or maybe 33... Is there any way to check on my characters without actually installing the game again? Anyways, while the game was fun for a while, I got tired of doing the same quests over and over again with a different set of enemies. "Kill 10 of these. Get 5 of this item from this enemy. Deliver this item to this person." Though, there were some scattered around that were more fun than that, they just weren't very common. One thing I always loved was that if I got bored with one area, I could always just walk someplace else and start quests in another area. Hell, I just loved exploring for exploring's sake, filling in my map and seeing the scenery was enough to keep me happy for hours. I might have made 60 if I had been able to focus more, but I got bored too quickly with the quests and the grinding by the 30's... Anyway, for characters, I had the level 30whatever Night Elf Ranger, a level 12 Human Priest, a level... something... maybe 15? 18? 12? I dunno... Gnome Mage, a level 7 Orc Warrior, a level 12 Tauren Druid, and I vaguely recall starting a Troll... something... but I'm fairly sure I deleted it very soon after.

I played for about 2.5 years. My last year was ridiculously hardcore and I pushed with a guild that killed Kil'Jaeden. It was pretty fun. Then Lich King was coming out and I realized Gamefly gave me more opportunities!

That's how I feel about it too. Like Everquest before it, it almost ruined my life (giving me an anxiety disorder), and because my wife played WoW too with me, almost ruined my marriage arguing over raids, quests, and guild drama.

The high end raiding was pretty fun until you step back and realize it's more stenuous and demanding than a real job, except you get nothing useful out of it at the end of the day. And it's not so much "fun", as "something to do" that feels way more important than it really is.

I sunk many, many, many hours of my life into that game and have absolutely nothing to show for it.

Oh, man don't get me started. My knuckles still freeze up when I think of trying to get from 57-60 by slaughtering blood elves.

I've always wanted to see what the big deal with this game is, but I've never had a gaming PC. Would I be able to play an older version on my brand new computer, even if it's not a "gaming" computer?

Been a year or 2, may start up again just for something to do. I had some fun with it, it's something I'd get bored with after a while so the obsession is not a long term issue.

i played for a while. i had a rogue and quit before BC came out. i was on the scarlet crusade RP server and my characters name was 'character.'

then i started a druid and his name was 'anotherguy'

now my nephew plays it and he's 'joebaka' on frostmane.

one of my best friends has devoted so much time to that game and is still trying to convince me to return to azeroth, but i refuse. his main is 'dbzmage' on garithos.

i forget what they called their DK's

I'm actually curious now, and random google searches aren't turning up anything... Is there any way to check on my characters without having to resort to re-installing WoW?

Please tell me that if you ever have kids, you'll name them something like "maleoffspring" and "anotherchild".

I am not sure your characters will show up on the armory if your account is not active. I have 2 accounts and one is not active, and that accounts characters are not found on the armory.

I played a little bit on my Orc Hunter earlier today. Completed a quest, skinned some stuff...fun times. Usually during the winter months is when I kind of lay off WoW because work is so busy. I still play it often but not for hours on end like I do in the other months of the year. After coming home from working two jobs I'd rather play some Call of Duty on Xbox Live for half an hour than try to play WoW.

Nope... can't find any of my characters there. (Even if it had worked, I don't remember what they were all named...)
