At one point, it was slated to have Princess Sally and the other Freedom Fighters from the cartoon series.

Yup, that's why she was brought back to life in the comic book. Originally they were just gonna kill her off.

Think about how different the videogame industry could be today if that game was finished. If the Saturn had gotten a Sonic game that could compete with Mario, the Saturn might have gained ground and Sega could have held on. Then the Dreamcast would have been given a fair chance and who knows how things would be. This game has always captured my imagination though, I would have really loved to see how it worked hands on. I love the music too. I really believe that this game was a turning point in history.

Yeah...I kinda thought it was ridiculous to put the word "boob" in a Sonic character's name. Probably one reason it was canned.
But on a more serious note, it's kinda disappointing to see Tiara killed off like that.

Semi-on-topic: Anyone else pick up Unleashed? I got it, and am having a total blast with it. Even with the obnoxious coin-collecting, I haven't had this much fun with a platformer in years.

I played the demo and didn't much care for it. I actually much prefer the Sonic Adventure series over any other 3D incarnations they're doing now.

Which version do you have? The PS3/360 and PS2/Wii versions are apparently very different games.

Those Sonic X-treme clips look liek they play disturbingly better than most all contemporary sonics.
Also for the record I felt the the first SA is still the best 3D sonic to date (as mediocre as it really is).

I have the 360 version. I really don't see all the fuss people make about it, I think reviewers just wanted a whipping boy.

The werehog parts are cliche and monotonous and simply don't fit the sonic universe. However, the fast paced day parts are fantastic IMO.

Yeah...this might get me to try out Golden Axe Beast Rider, even IF you couldn't play as the dwarf.

Mostly 2, SA1 plays insanely awkward and does not hold up nearly as well. It looked great to show off the console, but not so much now.

I really ejoyed SA2.
I mean, I could have done with more sonic levels, but I thought it was nicely done and almost as good as SA1. If it was more sonic, then they would've been tied.

At least they dumped the Big levels from SA1. Those were just frustrating and obnoxious.

That game looks like it has a good control scheme (something the new 3D Sonic games are lacking), but the lack of camera movement would've killed it for me.
