Does the DS have a converter like the PSP has, which plugs into I believe the USB port that runs RCA cables to allow Television play with said PSP? Saw a deal like that in the local Shame Stop awhile ago.

Wouldn't you, er, need two TVs for that or something?
Also, I have two questions about the box cover of Chrono Trigger DS:
1. Why is Marle wearing that purple...thing?
2. Why is Marle shooting fire at Chrono's sword when her element is ice?

Two very good questions, but it's not just the DS cover, it's the exact same art that was on the SNES cover. Another good question is, what is that creature they're fighting? It looks an awful lot like Heckran, but you fight him inside of a cave. They're fighting in a snowy setting somewhere...

You fight Heckran type monsters in the secret dimensions at the end of the game. They appear in the snow field. As for the outfit and the fire, you think they went the whole adventure not changing clothes? They just cut out the shower and clothes changing scenes. Also if you wanted Fire on the box art you would have gotten Lucca instead, because as Lucca is a dork/genius, they obviously had to go with Marle. Plus who want's to see an Ice Sword attack on their box. Certainly not me! (Yea it doesn't make sense. My honest opinion is that since it was conceptual art, Marle hadn't been decided to be the Ice Princess yet.)

...Secret dimensions at the end of the game? Is that that DS extra thing I'd heard about, or is that just you pulling nonsense out of your ass?
...Cuz if it is the DS extra, I'd like to know what they used to see into the future and know of that when they drew the art for the SNES box...

Yes it's true, it's how you get the Dream Weaver for Chrono, Ultimate weapon. Maybe they used the box art to inspire the lost demension or whatever its called.

Question!
*POSSIBLE SPOILERS*
In 2300 AD, when you watch the video for the "Day of Lavos", you can distinctly see various towns and buildings in 1999 AD. When you use the Epoch to travel to 1999 AD, the map on the bottom screem clearly displays a developed map for 1999 AD. So am I correct in assuming that there's no actual way to explore 1999 AD? It seems like a waste to go through all that trouble of drawing and modeling a map, yet not letting players explore it...

Yea, you can't actually explore the time 1999 AD. It is a tad stupid.

Well about the TV cable thing I mentioned. As far as I know when you use the PSP one it still has the hand held display showing as well. So I figured since the bottom screen 99% of the time has the action going on it, and the top is your mini map or whatever, that it would show that one(the bottom screen) on the T.V. and you would still use the DS ala how a GBA is with multiplayer in Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Then again how do DS emulators work on a PC or do they even really exist. I've been out of that kinda "Trade" for so long, I'm not even sure there is such a thing.
