Just curious as to who you guys like as far as comedians go. More specifically, stand up comics.

My favorite is, without a doubt, Bill Hicks. Hilarious, over the top, controversial and sometimes even scary, he always had a message behind his comedy and tried to make people think for themselves. He died far too young.

FUCK THAT GUY, PABST BLUE RIBBON

Louis C.K., Jim Gaffigan, Jo Koy, Eugene Mirman, David Cross, and sometimes I likes me a little bit of Dane Cook.

My favorite comedian is Mitch Hedberg. He had no gimmicks, no catch phrases, nothing to get in the way of the humor.

FUN FACT: I have impersonated Mitch on many occasions. A few times in comedy places.

George Carlin

Bill Hicks is a close runner-up. Everything you can say about Hicks you can say about Carlin. Positive or negative.

Richard Pryor is up there also.

...or not

Mitch Hedberg, Amazing Johnathon, Jeff Dunham, Ron White, Bill Engvall, Demetri Martin, probably more that I can't remember.

I would have to go with Dave Chappelle. Dave Chappelle by a long shot actually. Great comedian, awesome person.

Fuck yes. Chappelle should just stop being emo and get back to his show, dammit.

I have a love/hate relationship with Bill Hicks. When he talks about Non-smokers, Rush Limbuagh, and marketing, he is a god. When he talks about how "life is just a ride" and how two Priest fans were "no cure for cancer" it made me glad he's dead.

Mine used to be Carlin until I dug deep enough to discover he was an armageddon craving mongrel, now it's probably a tossup between Bill Maher and Mitch Hedberg.

I liked Chappelle on TV alot more than I did his stand up, though he had his moments.

Too many to list. Mitch Hedberg was probably my favorite.

Bill Hicks licked balls. Hey this guy hates stuff that I hate too, therefore he is hilarious. Bill Hicks was a scumbag hypocrite who had no delivery whatsoever. Sorry, there are a few others mentioned that I don't really care for, but his celibrity begets me. I just don't understand the appeal.

Daniel Tosh, Dave Chappelle, Louis CK, Eddie Izzard

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us.

Never seen The Chappelle Show, but I love his stand up.

Russell Peters, Rodney Dangerfield, George Burns, George Carlin, Jerry Seinfeld of course haha, and by golly I'm a fan of Dane Cook's ridiculously stretched-out situational humour, because that's the kind of stuff my buddy and I do. We'll have a big long discussion about something that could hypothetically happen for a solid half an hour.

Sam Kinison, George Carlin.

Dice Clay had his moments, too. I wonder how much truth there is to the rumor he was run out of Hollywood by the homosexual lobby.
