| I'll elaborate. Getting to the final boss only to realize you have the wrong weapon, and eventually beating him to find you have to beat the godforsaken game all over again. |
Okay, that's Bullshit.

You beat Ghaleon then there is a cut scene I believe and then Luna talks to you and everyone tells you to go up these stairs to save her. You walk up the stairs and she shoots stuff at you but you dodge it. This goes on like 3 more times then if you keep walking she kills you. Oh wait your supposed to use the ocarina that you haven't had to use all fucking game. You were just supposed to know that.
BULL SHIT!

This probably doesn't count, but that fact that Mass Effect autosaves at the most retarded times realy pissed me off. You'd go through all this shit on a planet surveying elements and shit, only to get your ass kicked by a thresher maw, and then you have to start all over again. And in the story missions you have to constantly save after every fight unless you want to start over.

Tell me how I can add it to the list, since I'm not sure, but yeah, that is officially Bullshit

I remember doing something like that. Luna zapped me to death, and all I could think was "Oh crap, I hope I saved". Fortunately for me, I did.

The funny thing is I was sitting there and my buddy watched me beat it. Then I started walking up the stairs and when I got zapped I was like "How funny would that be if that actually killed me?" I started laughing until I saw the gameover screen, then I almost cried because for some idiotic reason I didn't save through the whole damn tower.

Having a random chance of getting a random power for every enemy you kill. (No More Heroes) It kinda throws strategy out the window. Also, if you're doing really good on a challenge like the "Kill everybody without taking a hit" ones, and you get the ones like the crosshair where you move REALLY slow, It's hard to not get hit.

That girl is fucking hard. With her one-hit kill moves...

Does the game let you know things like this happen?

Yeah, but It doesn't let you turn them off or control them or choose weather or not to use them.

Not Bullshit, then. Bullshit would be if that started happening in Stage 4 or something.
Bullshit is when the game either "changes the rules" or does something there's no way you can know about within the game. You know all about that when you start it.
Sounds frustrating, though. Kind of like mutants in the Final Fantasy Legend series.

Alright, I know I've got one now. In Spore, when you get to space you're given a class based on you're actions in the rest of the game. Each class has a superpower. 2 of these classes, Scientist and Zealot, have superpowers that destroy all buildings on a planet and Takes control of a planet, repectively. What the game DOESN'T bother to tell you is that they break the "Galactic Code", a set of rules that in never even hinted at until you break them with those superpowers. Breaking the Galactic Code angers nearby empires, and on my first space game, a zealot class, I broke the code and started 6 wars. The whole Galactic Code is bullshit. It would be nice to at least get a warning about it, and I can't even find a mention of it in the Official Spore Guide!

...Sounds like a Star Trek episode I saw once...
Someone else pass verdict on this one. I'm not even sure Spore counts as a game.

Well it can go for more games, just the act of not telling you about rules until you break them.

Well, come ON, dude, think about it. When you nuke a planet and take control of it, that tends to piss people off, Galactic Code or no.

If the Galactic Code literally isn't mentioned in the guide and it the game doesn't warn you until after you break the code, then that's definitely bullshit.

I dunno if it can be called bullshit or not, it's common sense... The only things that break the Galactic Code are things that go way beyond the rules of normal society, like the aforementioned superpowers, or the Planet Buster weapon which, as expected, destroys an entire planet. The only other thing I know of that breaks the Galactic Code is allying yourself with the Grox, the alien race that controls pretty much the entire center of the galaxy, who have no qualms about destroying ever other alien race in existence.

I don't think it's BS because it breaks the Galactic Code, but rather that it doesn't give you a decent warning beforehand.
