I've been meaning to discuss this with the other mods so there's nothing official (Syd has the final word on this anyway as only he can change your name), but name changes should really be rare. You've already done it once, and pretty recently at that, so I'm not sure a name change should be allowed.

I'd just PM Syd instead of creating threads like this, but I think a more suitable option would be to relinquish control of your account to Syd and create a new one with the name you want. That way, all your posts will still be under the handle of "hacker" and can be easily located for posterity, whereas changing your username changes it on all the old posts, thus fucking up the site's mythos.
