Yea, not bad. I have a 2.5 year old son and it's crazy the shit that little kids remember and regurgitate. He knows all of the Batman villains now just from playing Lego Batman on the Wii occasionally. If you sit down with them and teach them the names like that guy must have done in the video, they remember everything.

That seems like bad parenting to me. The dude made up flash cards and his obviously trained his daughter to memorize these things. It also doesn't make her a gaming prodigy as she doesn't play any games in this video, which is what I was expecting. You'll also note that the kid seems to have a severe lack of interest in this exercise and really only gets excited at all about Yoshi, Kirby, and Pikachu, which are clearly the most kid oriented of those characters.

Call me crazy, but I would much rather have taught the kid to read, write, or do simple arithmetic.

Very true. The best time to learn a foreign language is when you're 2-8 because, as I said before, kids remember everything and parents should be teaching that instead of video game characters that the kid will probably learn anyway when she's 13.

I don't remember when a videogame forum became the end all authority on parenting. if he was beating her for getting the wrong answers or something then I'd understand.

it's harmless and cute.
