New problem... My XBLA games and DLC only work when I connect to XBL. I know there's way to fix this, and MS advised be it would be an issue when they sent it back. How do I fix this?

You dont, i still have to be connected if i want to play Worms, DOOM, or Carcasonne.

Shit pisses me off, how the fuck is M$ so far ahead of Sony with this shit going on all the time.

do we really have to go out of our way to spell the acronym with a dollar sign? is that really clever? why do people do that? companies make money. they try to make as much money as possible. that's business. that's what companies are supposed to do.

anyway You should not need to repurchase anything. Technically your purchases should work fine when you're logged into Xbox LIVE, since the service has records of the purchases made on that account.

This page will help you get your content unlocked when you're offline:

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/licensemigration/

Note that using this will move the licenses from the old machine to the new one, so it will effectively lock all your purchased content on the old machine, and also that you are only allowed to move a single license once per year (as in, you can't just transfer an Arcade title back and forth between two Xboxes whenever you want to). It's designed for system replacements, not for sharing between multiple consoles.

My 360 is on the fritz AGAIN! Disc drive says "open tray" like I have not put any disc in it, when putting in a disc it makes a grinding noise and tries to spin the disc, then stops. In my anger I slapped it and it starting reading the disc, and after being on for a few hours it had no problem switching between games movies cds etc. Why does the stupid thing have to warm up first? Why does the support forum suggest I defrag my HD, discconect my HD, disconnect the power supply etc? Is this console so craptastic that things like the power supply and the HD can negatively affect the disc drive? Bleating and Babbling

I know all the tech support links and tips and am going to try them tonight when I get home, I just felt like ranting, why does this damn thing insist on having problems every few weeks? can't it just play nice and stop being a poorly designed heap of junk? Sad
