Had a pretty damn good year, pop-culturally:
Atari 2600 and about 25 games (from my gf)
An IT record player --> USB transfer capability
Playstation 3
As I said, it's been a great year.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us. |

Last night we switched things up.
I didn't get Chinese food.
I got Japanese!
It was great, I had a few Sapporos and my wife and I had a lovely dinner with my parents.
Today, I woke up and under the tree... oh wait...
My present was that when I had plans today, I was able to drive all over the place and there was no traffic.

Sadly, the only game I got was Bangai-O Spirits (and my parents lost it...), however I did get an awesome long sleeve shirt of a death metal band I like. I also got Iron Maiden's Live After Death DVD, some sweatpants, and a Zoetrope record.

So I got $50 from my grandpa, which I plan on using to help pay for Guitar Hero: World Tour, and a Starbucks gift card and the sweetest card I've ever read from my best friend. It's been a great great Christmas!
And Lord, did the person that bought you Press Start know that you know the director?

Grandparents are usually pretty good for cash if nothing else come Christmas time. Lord knows how many years I got card trick decks when they thought they were getting me Magic cards. As for the Press Start situation, he had no clue I knew about it let alone owned a copy, so yeah he didn't know I occasionally chat with DarkMaze on AIM.

The Simpsons Game for PSP
Sweatpants/Loungepants
Virginia Cavaliers shirt
Guitar Hero boxers
$50 Target Gift card
$20 from my Grandma
A Virginia Tech shirt from my aunt (she was going to get a UVa shirt, but for some reason she went with the VT)
And a couple weeks before, the place I work at had a gift exchange/Secret Santa type thing. I got a pair of boxers with a worm on front (there was some little in-joke about getting me silk boxers), and a gag gift from Spencer's called "Stroke on a Rope".

Fuck this consumerist bullshit holliday. Evil corperations brainwashing us into thinking we need all this materialistic garbage. Consumerism is the drug, and Jolly old Saint Nick is the fucking pusher. Tell me, what is this stuff you got for Christmas going to do for you? When you die, are you going to be remembered for who you are, or what your worth in USD???
I tell you what, I'll tell you what I GAVE for Christmas this year. I gave a poor Etheopean hope. For just pennies a day even. I give people hope and salvation, and guess what motherfuckers, it's a year round gig, not just seasonal.
Oh yeah, and i got a new pair of hard drives and some clothes. Not that any of that is intersting, but the other stuff i got is even less so.
Merry Christmas!

Coldplay - Parachutes
Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreak
Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile
The Killers - Day & Age
If All Goes Wrong (a Smashing Pumpkins documentary DVD)
an American Psycho T-shirt (It's got bloodstains and it says "I have to return some videotapes")
A flashlight (hey, I've always wanted one)
And with 250 bucks I got from my mom, I plan on getting:
CDs:
Gravity Kills - Gravity Kills
Santogold - Santogold
Silversun Pickups - Carnavas
Chrono Trigger on DS
