How about bringing Rock Band over to a friend's house for a party, then realizing all too late that he doesn't have an internet connection at the moment, so you have to go to his house, find someone with a laptop, run to a Starbucks, get the "unlock all songs" cheat, then be able to play the god-damned game.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

Unlocking everything from Melee was impossible. Getting the CDs in God Hand is torture. But the worst would be the Dot Hack games. No less than 4 games to slog through, pure pain due to being a not very good game that was certainly not capable of lasting for even a sequel. But the hard part is the vast amount of things you need to do, combined with the fact that its not hard to miss one thing and not know about it until the 4th game, when you've already sunk countless hours into the bugger. It gets better; the game is glitched, so doing things right when it comes to the e-mail quest can actually fuck you over forever. Your prize; backgrounds. Backgrounds and tracks from a game with weak music. Gay.

Yeah. A lot of .hack was tedious. But boring? No. (until you have to grind like fucking mad to kill a boss). I found getting the items and backgrounds and the bonus kickass weapons a peice of cake. I'd play for maybe an hour doing the story and I'd get a shitload of them. I liked the music too. And the glitch? I don't know anything about that.

I enjoy Castle Mode, but yeah the Story Mode thing is fucking tedious. Also, as far as I can tell, you don't need to complete every challenge in Castle Mode, you just need to beat the bosses and make it to the end.

Castle mode is okay, but you can't enter Dracula's room until every other room is cleared.
