After 27 years, the case is finally closed, Ottis Toole confessed on his death bed to murdering and decapitating the son of Americas Most Wanted host, John Walsh.
Toole was the main suspect and a serial killer who met up with and killed others with Henry Lee Lucas.

A death bed confession hardly seems like conclusive evidence. The story also said he liked to claim murders he didn't actually do and his neice just claimed he made the confession on his death bed. He probably did do it but I wouldn't call the case solved.

Well they are closing it because all of the evidence and leads tended to lead to him and even if it wasn't him, whoever did it won't be caught so they just want to close it i suppose.
EDIT: I didn't read it carefully enough, Ottis Toole died like 10 years ago and the niece is comming forward now...kind of sketchy, but they believe he did it and this is enough to make them satisfied i guess.

They probably decided to be lazy and just close the case. John Walsh probably doesn't give a shit. He's probably happy his son was killed because now he has a show thats been on forever and making millions of dollars.

He became famous because he worked hard to help famillies with missing children AFTER his son was kidnapped and murdered.

What I'm saying is that there are many more dead children out there, and even more children missing. Does one death matter? There's no reason to post it on the news, especially if he's DEAD ALREADY. Also, you shouldn't post it on the news with flimsy evidence.
