Because:
A) He successfully dodged the shoe.
B) Who the fuck throws a shoe?
If someone whipped a shoe at me out of nowhere, and I had the presence of mind to dodge it, I'd be pretty pleased with myself, too.

Haha exactly. I would feel no qualms about rewarding myself with a grin.

Interesting. The first thing I thought he was thinking was 'just wait until he gets to the parking lot...'

Oh yeah... that would have looked really good for the secret service.
Some guy threw a shoe, so we shot him in the face. Seemed reasonable at the time.

1) Not original.
2) Wouldn't have been funnier if he caught the thing and chucked it back? Then again, if ANY (non-Arab) American winged a shoe at an Arab, they'd be chastised like crazy. Not because there's a baseless double standard for shoe-throwing, but because it's a much bigger insult to throw a shoe at an Arab than it is to throw a shoe at a non-Arab. The guy should have done his homework and just gave a good healthy middle finger. If he wanted to disrespect someone, he should have done his homework on that culture's norms.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us. |

haha, that would have been awesome if Bush pwned the guy with his own shoe. Pretty sure he would have ended his presidency with at least an 80% approval rating if that had happened.

If Bush deserves a shoe throwing, Cheney deserves a fridge droppin'.

I dunno, I think Syd is right, he should have put those frat boy skills to work and owned that guy with his own shoe like it was dodgeball and shit, and that guy was the fat kid. I don't even like Bush at all, but that shit would have be fucking hilarious.
