I'll start things off. . .
"I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS, HITLER!!!"
Also, Syd, were you going to put Dr. Regal in before I suggested it, or did you take my suggestion?
Secondly, how the hell did you get under the lock on the character battle thread? Does it come with being a mod, or did you just get the post in under the wire and I failed to notice it?

I took your suggestion on Dr. Regal. I considered deliberately pairing him against RegalSin, but I've decided it'll be more fun to do the human-VG pairs at random.
As for the posting, I unlocked it, posted, and relocked it.

I was asking how the hell you got under the post lock, Tebor. I suspect it's one of the powers granted by the 5 magical mod artifacts hidden in a secret location deep within the depths of the SydLexia.com servers.

The way things turned out, it looks like there will be at least a few tough battles...
JEW vs. Hitler will be interesting. Hitler is sure to get some votes as a joke, and since the JEW/Hitler match is scheduled for Friday, a day when forum traffic is generally down, those joke votes might be enough to garner a Hitler victory.
SSNintendo will have a hard battle against the chicken. There are a lot of Zelda marks on the board, and Nintendo's low post count could hurt his chances.
Dr. Jeebus vs. Evil Marble should be interesting as well. On the one hand, he's pledged to write a new article for each match he wins. On the other hand, he's tried to pick fights with both JEW and Murdar Machene over the last few months, and that could come back to bite him.
Senior board members Kubo, Spanky McCracken, and B.B. King may also have a hard time. All three joined the forums within three days of their official debut, but low presence in recent months combined with half decent opponents could undo any or all of them.

JEW vs Hitler is very interesting. I hope JEW wins. Also, I wish I were Knyte. He gets to go up against the videogame embodiment of RegalSin, although maybe if I'm lucky, I'll get to go up against Regal.

You don't have it so bad, Tebor. But you don't have it as easy as Valdronius. He' s just lucky that I went with Afshaal instead of Lisa, the scantily clad female character from Arabian Magic.

Kickle Cubicle, he's from an NES game of the same name. You play as this guy, Kickle Cubicle, who turns enemies into cubes of ice and then kicks them into the water to bridge gaps and collect treasure.

So if I make it through the first round, I have to take on the winner of Dr. Jeebus and Evil Marble? Hmmm, it might be a bloody second round.

It's a sin in any bracket to look to the next round, but I fear/look forward to the second round clash with Tebor should I advance.
|
Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us. |

I vote for a battle in person. On top of a truck. With javelins. In a volcano.

Aw, man, I would've signed up for this if I'd known about it. I'm too busy IRL anyway, but just don't think I'm hatin' on the site or anything.

It would suck if I lost to a chicken, but it'd suck more if I'd lost to an overrated Final Fantasy character.

I have ramped up the turnout in recent weeks, more on a lurking basis but there have been posts as well. Listen, I'm ok to losing out if I'm facing people who have been doing things for the past 5 years. What the hell has Alice Cooper done recently?
