I as sure hell am,

School kicked my ass this semester. I procrastinated and ended up spending 4 straight days writings 6 papers for different classes. I seriously have learned my lesson not to wait to the last minute again on stuff when it comes to letting stuff pile on at the end of the semester.

I am a junior at University of Tennessee and this has been my hardest semester. I made straight A's last semester but I am probably going to end up with a fucking C because my prick archeology teacher demands people treat his damn class as a top prority and gives no mercy on anything, I took the class because I am an anthro minor and I regret it big time. I also have one class where where I made an A on every test but the teacher gives me a 35 out of 100 for online discussion because i posted 1 reply instead of two, which the whole classs did the entire semester yet he can't mention in a class of 20 people, its not like its a fucking lecture hall. Because of that shit I now will finish with a B plus instead of an A.

I dont want to be an asshole who blames it all on the teacher, but I have had much harder teachers who make you work your ass off, yet don't count off for stupid shit and intentionally try to bring grades down so their department can act like they aren't too easy on students. Next semester I am going to spend more time looking over the syllabus's of my teachers and turning their shit in early and asking them questions so I wont have to deal with frustration at the end of next semester.

Anyone have any good college stories?

I'm failing Chemistry but overall I'm doing good.
My only problem that I'm truely having aside from the fact that I'm failing chem is this: My ethics teacher is the biggest Stoner in the world. He will walk into class and say alright we are going to... what were we talking about again? and then he mumbles.
I would tell you my story about how Campus Police showed up and raided our home.

School year is now where near over.
Just started for me. T_T Trimesters.

Unless my parents won't help pay like they threaten to, then yes. My year will be over shortly.

Ugh. I've started my first semester of college, and I already know pain, just getting used all the stuff that goes down.

Also, I'm doing terrible, set to fail all my classes except history. I seriously gotta pull some shit and finish my projects before the end... =/

I'm doing pretty good in my first semester at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I should be making four Bs and an A, but if I do good on finals that could get boosted to an 3 Bs and 2 As. Gotta love it when a 58 on a test curves up to a B. I am glad it's ending though, so I can hang out with my friends back in Pflugerville and sleep until noon every day.
As a side note, it seems I'll start a tradition of ending each semester with a concert, having seen GWAR yesterday on my final day of class, and on my last day of finals, May 8th, Kreator and Exodus are coming to San Antonio. What a way to end the semester. Twisted Evil

Counting undergrad, my ummm... 20th semester is about to wrap up. 5 years undergrad (one in which was set up in trimesters), 2 years Masters, in my third year Ph.D. So yes, I look forward to the end of every semester at this point.

Plus I fucking love Christmas. I really do.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us.

I have all art studio courses, which are easy, but so fucking time-consuming. The other night I spent 7 fucking hours chiselling away at a plaster mould to get the bust I made out of it. My arms stopped working at 4am so I had to hand it in with a big fucking chunk of plaster shit on it. But luckily (!!!) the instructor and the studio tech blamed it on the bust plaster being too soft. I've also spent the last two semesters mastering how to finish an entire 20 print photo project in a single fucking day.

And enshin, my Jan-Apr. semester last year ended with me going to see Suzie McNeil, my favorite singer, and meeting her.

I tried many times to be the "good student" and not put things off till the last second.

It never worked. I could never concentrate on doing anything unless I HAD to get it done, and the only way to create that need is to put it off till the last second. I honestly believe I do better work when I'm under pressure like that.

I do my best work like that too, I guess you could call it being under pressure. (dun dun dundundun dun) Most of the time, I don't even start a paper until the night before it's due, and I'm always in the computer lab, printing my finished result an hour before class. Fortunately, UTSA's pretty generous and gives you 16 dollars in your print account, and it's only about eight cents to print. My GPA should be around a 3.2 for my first semester, so I can't say it doesn't work.
At any rate, I take my first finals on Wednesday, Bio and Political Science. I feel fairly confident.

That's retardedly generous. We have to pay for our printing, but we can only put money on our student cards a loonie ($1) or toonie ($2) at a time, and we lose our money on the card when the semester ends...

My semester started only six weeks ago. I won't be done until February. At least most of my classes are interesting, with the exception of the Mathematical Algorithms course I have to take. I wish my laptop battery would last for more than twenty minutes, so I could at least surf the web and not fall asleep during class.

I'm pretty sure blowing my brains out of my head has crossed my mind on multiple occasions. That is opposed to trying to shit them out. I can't wait til this semester is over.

Thanks!

Looking for a job right now. Unfortunately, not so much luck just yet. The problem is that all of them want prior work experience (4 or 5 year minimum usually). So yeah.

I may go to grad school next Fall.

Well, I was going to go into medical stuff, but then I realized a few days ago that I really don't like people, and I favor physical contact even less. So I dropped out of the med program and am now taking these classes just to use them as substitutes for my general studies.

Parents are still constantly bothering me about what I want to do as a career. And my totally honest answer, "I do not know.", doesn't fly. Sigh.

My semester is done but i still have to study for the GREs. It's funny learning new vocab words but it makes me phlegmatic the more i do and my zealous for learning converts to a rancorous towards this test, causing me to anathema this dreaded thing and wishing nothing more then to become bellicose towards it.

Oh and i have to study math too. Cacophony!

What does it mean when a person goes to college then leaves it because they can't stand it for their own education, yet decides to work at Universities as a profession?

I am excited that school is almost done because it means less students breaking computers, less faculty driving around, and shorter lines at restaurants.

I get excited for vacation days. I also get excited when I realize that my continued education is in my own hands.

School is not our best friend, I can tell. But in on the other hand, I would've never liked the holidays this much if it wasn't for school. But it still sucks sh**.
