Real's always nice. My dad sometimes cuts down a cedar tree for christmas, it looks ghetto but it's nice. Otherwise we have a fake one but fake's lame and doesn't have that fresh tree smell.

We always get a Real Tree. Since I am a forestry student, one word of advice to those who get a real tree, don't get a white Spruce. This tree is nick-named Cat Piss Spruce (No lie) since you break the needles off and all you can smell s cat pee. Further more if you have a cat, they get confused and try to mark it as their territory.
The best tree to get, if you can find and afford it, is either the Douglas Fir. But the cheapest and best for those on a tight budget is going to be either a blue Spruce, Eastern (Or Western pending where you live) Hemlock or Balsam Fir.

Who wants to pay in excess of $20 bucks anyway for a damn tree when you can buy liquor or weed with it?
Seriously, I would like to have one with a real tree (as long as I'm not paying for it) but none so far...

I don't get a Real Tree, because I have One Cat that is actually mine, and since my sister has had financial issues and has been evicted, we now have 2 more that won't let my cat named Jinx out of my Parent's Bedroom. The cats claw on real trees, and it's a bitch if they jump onto the tree, and knock down a glass fucking ornament that was from my Grandmother or something.

Fake is the way to go. We only had a real tree once ever. The one we bought was slightly too big for the house so after we got it inside I had to saw like 8 inches off the stump, which had been outside in sub-freezing weather for weeks, which covered me, the tree, and the carpet in sap. They shed fucking needles everywhere, and the tree wasn't strong enough to hold most of the ornaments we have.
