Anybody watch this last night? It's a Frisky Dingo spin off about the X-ticles themselves and it's pretty damn hilarious. It seems almost a replacement for Frisky Dingo season 3 as they talk about Awesome X going into space and show him leaving on the ship Killface's people arrived in at the end of season 2 and also features a lot of the secondary characters from FD (Stan and Mr. Ford so far, but Old Spice, Hooker and the two scientists who had the brain chemical appear in the opening credits.) They actually show most of the X-ticles without their helmets for once and give them individual personalities as well as a commander for them and the flying fortress's holographic interface personality which is of course programmed to look like a hot chick. They played two episodes last night, one dealing with what to do about Awesome X's standing orders (which were to wait for more orders, which leads to them standing idly by while the fortress plows through the Rocky Mountains one at a time) and the second was about Stan, now president, sending them to find the villain who raped his new statue. Instead of doing that, they concoct a new villain "Rape Ape" on the spot and then harass a retired, half man, half monkey villain with a swashbuckling theme known as "Rapier Ape" since they misunderstand the meaning of rapier.

I almost want to say that it's funnier than Frisky Dingo itself after only two episodes.

Yeah, that bothered me a little but I suppose it makes sense that they'd have a sub-commander since Awesome X was usually off screwing hookers and crawling through sewers naked instead of leading. It also kinda bugged me that most of them have their helmets off all the time too, but they probably scramble to put them back on whenever Awesome X is incoming which would kind of explain it. I like the guy who is too short for his suit so his head barely sticks up above the collar.

I love the guy who couldn't get his helmet off, and when he did not only did he have a crazy beard and long hair, but when they asked him how he ate and drank and such, he was like oh the suit recycles our waste, and they are like, uhhh no it doesn't. Then you have to light him on fire.
