It might do it, but I think Gens 32+ has something with it last time I used it... I'd prefer to us FrAP's or Hypercam, that way the game doesn't slow down in pace...

Fusion doesn't do it.

I also tried one called Regen, but while it does record, it records directly as an .avi. Way too slow. I need something that works like virtuanes, or at least something that can record it's own movie file and then convert it to avi.

I'll try Gens32.

I tried Regen once, and while I was gradually feeling better while using it, it's just too slow, like you said. I much rather prefer emulators like CureAll. Bell

Just use a screen recorder, like Hypercam, Camstudio, or Camtasia.
All of them save the file in AVI.

They don't do the job for me.

I have a genesis emulator that can record, I'm not sure of the exact title, but the folder says "gens-win32". If you need it, PM me and I'll e-mail it to you.

Now my question for you is...is there an SNES emulator out there that can record?

ZSNES records directly from the game's RAM, which I imagine can be converted otherwise, but I've never tried it. I know it's the RAM because the first time I recorded something, I hit the controller half way through and it stopped playing back and I controlled it again.

Snes9x does it too. And with a great quality, no lagg.

Well, Gens32 works great...but can't convert it to .avi.

Oh well...I may have to go to a screencap recorder after all. Thanks for the help.

Can't you use a separate recording program like fraps?

...I am intrigued by your suggestion and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Explain more, please?

EDIT: I just looked it up. It's 37 bucks. Blech.

I tried using CamStudio and Hypercam while recording something from SNES9X, but the end result is my videos and gameplay being choppy. It's easier to use SNES9X's built in AVI recording function. And if you know how to pull it off, it is easy to record AVI's from ZSNES.
