My wife tells me that it is my fault that the DVR is full.

Tonight I was sitting down watching Constantine in HD when the urge to eat dinner and take a piss overcame me.

I hit the fancy red circle on the remote to record the show but was met with a message telling me to fuck off.

Apparently my DVR is full... Umm with what? I don't have that much on there... a few CSI's, Heroes, and half of a non-HD version of Demolition Man.

And... 8 episodes of Opera, 2 episodes of America's Next Top Model, and 7 episodes of Tyra. All in HD. Oh... and The Hills.

What the fuck?!?

So when I tell my wife to clear it out, she tells me that it is my fault. Apparently I am using the TV too much at night now playing World of Goo and she can't get through three hours of TV a day.

I'll admit, I have enjoyed playing the game, but not 3 hours a day.

The moral of this story is World of Goo is amazingly good.

If I was married I would tell my wife that there are plenty of industrious things one can do in three hours, other than watching television. Needless to say, if one knew what I meant by 'industrious', I wouldn't be married very long. Nice story. ; )

You put that so delicately.

The usual forum response is more like Whip it. Whip it good.

In any case she went to town last night and this morning before I got up. 4 hours of HD are free, I hope for me Wink

It is a hard drive size limitation.

I think I can store around 20 hours of HD content.

That translates into about 60 hours of standard content.

yeah, HD takes up way more space than standard.

my DVR in my room holds about 100 hours, but its just standard content.

the family/living room HD DVR holds about.... not sure but its full of kids shows and crap like Friends

Shouldn't this be in the TV section? I thought you had video games on your DVR or something.

I have Goo on my brain.

That is why it is in the VG section.

I don't get it, but that's okay. It still would be cool if you could play games on a DVR, but for all i know, you probably can.

I mean it is the best base concept possible.
"So lets make a game."
"Ok, so what should it be about?"
"Uuuuum... goo."
And then a trillion copies sell.

What kind of DVR is it? If it's one you own yourself, you could always upgrade the HD. This would take some doing and probably void your warranty, but it's pretty easy. Should be a snap for someone with your computer expertise.

It is a Comcast DVR. I don't own it.

If I owned the thing I would find a way to put a 1 TB drive in it.
