Yesterday was pretty sweet as far as work life goes.
I received my new MacBook Pro 2.53GHz 4GB Ram. Also our department received our new "Imaging" notebook, which I will be responsible for.
The imaging notebook is my first experience with the new Dell "E" series of laptops.
It is an E6400
So the E series laptop looks very professional, feels very stable and well built and is running a 2.8GHz processor with 4GB ram. All in all, pretty damn good for a business notebook.
So I booted it up and was expecting that I would have to reformat it right away to clear out the "Dell Junk".
I was very surprised to find that there was only one single installed application that had no business being preinstalled. Google Desktop was on the machine. Don't get me wrong, it isn't the worst thing in the word, it is just unnecessary and shouldn't be preinstalled.
But it was the only thing that was like that. After years of complaints Dell finally got rid of all of the other preinstall crap.
I just don't understand why they left one item on there.
Odd if you ask me.
