Opening segment - Dumb. "Must... warn... President McCain!" made me laugh, but the rest was stupid. A Pro-McCain pawnshop? Hey assholes, 1929 called and it wants its tired old jokes back.

The Transformers segment - Very short, fairly entertaining.

How To Get Ahead In Dead-vertising - This whole segment was fucking great, from the Mad Men parody right up through the end. Gay Lincoln? Krusty in a wood chipper? A jokes about killing Kate Winslet? FUCKING AWESOME.

It's The Grand Pumpkin, Millhouse! - Meh.

I missed it, the treehouse of horror series was awesome the first 2 0r 3. Since then the shows have become an excuse for the writers to kill off characters without the fear of spoiling canon. Some times they are awesome and sometimes they are complete suck fests.

Can anyone explain to me how they wound up always airing after Halloween? I mean is it so much work to just air one episode later to open up the spot for the yearly ToH ep?

At least the Simpsons actually started in September the last two years. There was a 3-5 year period where Treehouse of Horror was the season opener and aired in fucking November.

Don't forget that the first Simpsons episode doubles as a Christmas special.

I agree that the opening second was fucking stupid. I'm sick of everything I enjoy being filled with fucking liberal propaganda, and a Halloween episode is no place to do it. I know it was 2 days before election day, but it's a fucking Halloween episode. Gay.

For those who missed it, here it is:

Personally I thought that the opening was pretty funny.

The Transformers were a bit boring.

Dead-vertising was the strongest segment.

Lastly, the Grand Pumpkin
