NBA 2K9 was just released today for the PC.
However, apparently 2K Games forgot to put CD-Keys in the game boxes:

I just got a memo today that we have to pull all of the copies of little big planet that we have, and they won't tell us why aside from "they don't live up to the standards of quality" or something.

It's because a piece of music in the game had some Quran reference and LOL MUSLIMS WILL BE OFFENDED. Stupid if you ask me.
Also, I might get this, 'cause NBA Live has been sucking ass lately.

The last NBA live game I played was '97 on the PS1. The last NHL game was '98 on the PS1. I have never played an official MLB game.

I've always enjoyed the Tiger Woods PC ports, though the console versions are more practical to play with friends as my computer is in my room. As far as NBA games go; The new ones are too complicated for my taste. If I feel the need to play a basketball game, I'll play NBA jam on MAME.
I heard that a portion of the points earned on the NoSportsGames Club card goes to the nobody cares foundation, a nonprofit organization established to teach inner city kids to be elitist gamers and to limit their gaming experiences in exchange for gamer cred that doesn't exist.

It would be the perfect basketball game if only durring the seaons mode, (aka "The Association") not only would you have to worry about team chemistry, balance between rest and training, and injuries, but also players getting busted at airports with drugs, and pulled over by cops while their high packing unlicensed firearms. Then it would be perfect.
