yes, but if this was the case, wouldn't it have happened a lot sooner?

What makes you think that?

usually when things are built defective, they act defective, at least in my experience. I've never had somethign that was built defective that just worked, then one day jsut decided "oh yeah, I'm defective, I should stop working."

Haven't you ever had to replace a light bulb that you felt like you just replaced recently?

Same deal. Parts sometimes wear out quicker than they should.

Your author information:

From your information and post I have deduced the following:

1) You are between 13-17 years old. Why? Because the PSP came out in 2005.
2) You hate Syd Lexia. Why? Because you violated rule #1 in your author information.
3) You do not respect yourself. Why? Your post is littered with purposeful grammatical errors.
4) You do not respect the forum members other than FNJ and Murdar. Why? You hijacked a thread on purpose and are proud of it.

Based on this gathered information I offer the following advice:

If you act like an idiot you will be treated as such. With posts like this, don't expect to be welcomed with open arms.

This is really hard for you isn't it. Thinking of how something could last for only half of its lifespan instead of just 5% or 10%.
