I just started playing this game, and refuse to play after dark. I'm seriously gonna have nightmares. What are anybody elses experiences with the game? NO SPOILERS.

I love Silent Hill games, The creepy atmosphere just sets the mood. Silent Hill games were mean't to be played at night so you think Zombies are in your room right behind you. Then BAM, your dead because a Pyramid Head killed you . I can't wait till a new horror game comes out called Cryostasis : Sleep of Reason, it comes out somewhere around December 28th, its set in my Favorite Country Ever called Russia.

There's only one pyramid head. If there are more, don't tell me.

SH2 was the first and only SH game i ever played. i liked it, til the end. the ending didnt have much closure imo.
but the atmosphere was creepy and i really did have a bit of an issue playing @ night alone. i got over it, but i was a big bitch the first two or three times i tried playing it at night.

I liked the first 2 Silent Hill games, it sort of lost it's way after that though in my opinion.
You should really check out Dead Space though, it's basically Silent Hill in space. I have been playing it all day, just got to a part where a half dozen little babies with tentacles started crawling down the walls. Scary shit.

Not the best Silent Hill (that title belongs to Silent Hll 3), but this game is definitely one of the scariest I've ever played. Plus, who doesn't like five different endings?
One of the things I really liked about this game is how each monster is a manifestation of James's thoughts and psyche in some way (particularly Pyramid Head, but I won't spoil anything for you ).

Well I'm about to start in the hospital. Oh, and Username, it's a survival horror game. The "closure" is that you haven't been raped and killed by Pyramid Buddy.

Ahh, the hospital, just thinking about this game brings back fond memories...the prison/labyrinth stages are probably the scariest.
