Pro Wrestling X is a professional wrestling video game. It is under development by WishboneX Creations, a new developmental studio based in Canada, in conjunction with consumer group Wrestling Gamers United. It is billed as being "by wrestling gamers, for wrestling gamers." The game began development in an official capacity in June 2006 (with the opening of the developer's Vancouver-based studio), and is in the process of being shopped around to prospective publishers. In June 2007, the monthly print magazine Tips and Tricks featured PWX in a two-page article. Pro Wrestling X will include mod tools so that people can modify/create skins to their liking. For more information, visit the project's official webpage.

That looks great. I haven't played a good, solid wrestling game in years. The last few SvR have been okay, but, as Knyte stated also, the last great wrestling game IMO was No Mercy for N64. I have a friend who brings over his N64 every once in a while and we'll bust that out for a few hours.

From what other tidbits I have picked up on the game, is that the team designing it believe that thier hasn't been a great wrestling game released since 2002. (I think they might be refering to "Fire Pro Wrestling 2" for GBA, not sure, they don't say.)
So, they have been working for 2+ years to build a "wrestling game for wrestling game fans." One of thier biggest supporters is AJ Styles who is an avid videogame player, and who's favorite wrestling game is Virtual Pro Wrestling 2. (The Japanese AKI release that came out the same time as No Mercy.) He has given them lots of input and helped with thier animations.
It will be for PC, and no release date has been given as they do not have a publisher. However, according to the website, it sounds like they may be getting close to finished. (Or perhaps a Beta release, at the least.)

it is looking great, but it looks like some of the animations are way to fast, mainly the moonsault, backbreaker, moonsault fallaway slam, and what looked like a flipping slam. Hopefully that will be fixed. Otherwise, it looks like there is a soild engine behind this game and can't wait to see the results

For PC? Sweet, cuz I don't bother with consoles anymore.

I thought Fire Pro Returns was pretty awesome.

that looks really realyl early, and I can't really see anything in it aside from terrible motion capture. we will have to wait and see.
also, I have fire pro returns. I hate playing it, but simming is fun.
