so right before it all went down and fell apart I had planned on redesigning THI again with some friends, but with the self destruction of matthew hack, I figured I would take this as an opportunity to start fresh. I drew some rough shit up in photoshop. critique my design!

I kind of want to keep my favorite parts of the planned redesign (I'm really loving that banner)

a little look at what the articles will look like. you can also see the new banner and buttons and stuff.

the banner is supposed to look a little more like a word bubble, and the character is going to change randomly (you won't be looking at spiderman all the time)

tried to put a new spin on the conventional link button. I'ts still rough and I'm not liking the "&".

thanks. I'm really glad that you saw it and liked it.

I seem to be getting a lot of good feedback on this new design, so I think it's definitely something we're gonan run with. Sock is gonna build a template for it and then we're gonna look into a new way to update that is more convenient than the old HTML but less retarded than wordpress. after that it's jsut a matter of getting online and going.

so maybe a few months.

depending on how bored I am, I may try to animate it so that the text in the background scrolls.

Still awesome. Looks like you got your shit together, and a bag of chips with this.

I can imagine the SF2 selection music playing on the Select your Writer page.

That would fit. Pretty much any fighter selection BGM/intro/whatever will do, just to make that part of the site more awesome.
