After 50 years on television, and 35 years with "The Price Is Right", Bob Barker has announced his retired. He will leave "The Price Is Right" in June.
This is horribly depressing. Bob Barker has been a mainstay of television for my entire life... and now he's leaving. No one will ever be able to fill his shoes as host of The Price Is Right. But if someone has to try, I nominate me.

Having never heard your mic skills, nor seen your ability to putt a hole-in-one, I'm afraid I cannot offer my support.

2 important points
#1 whomever hosts needs to have "Race Game" and "Switcheroo" played more often. Two great/criminally under-played game.
#2 Forget what i said and make Tebor host. I would watch every-day!
Seriously though, there is talk that fucking rosie odonnell is going to replace Bob! I will never watch that show if she hosts.

Wink Martindale might be a suitable replacement. Or Mark McGrath, if you want a guy who can host it for an other 35 years.

I heard Mark McGrath was doing children's books now.

I nominate myself to take over the show in place of Syd. I have much better mic skills and I can still plug the site. "Help control the pet population: go to sydlexia.com"

Having better mic skills is debatable, but you're definitely far less sympathetic towards stupid people. A big part of hosting "The Price Is Right" is making someone feel better when they guess that a Lincoln Towncar is $82,732 instead of standing there with a "What are you, RETARDED?" smirk on your face.

The only game show I would want to host, is if they brought back "Press Your Luck".
The Whammies f'ing ruled!
"Big money, big money....no whammies......STOP!"
"(BEEP)!!!!! (BEEP) you, you piece of (BEEP)ing, no good, mother (BEEP)ing, donkey raping, son a (BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP)!!!! I hope you (BEEP) a (BEEP), and he brings with a can of (BEEP) and shoves it up your (BEEP) so (BEEP)ing hard, that you (BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP) and (BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP) in a (BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP) Debbie Renolds!!!"
Obviously, my version could only air on HBO. But, think of all the horrible whammy cartoons you could get away with on Premium cable? That would be frickin sweet.

Actually they DID bring back Press Your Luck as "Whammy" on GSN.

I used to watch reruns of Press Your Luck on the USA channel as a kid in the late 80s. Man that show ruled, especially the whammies.

I vote Syd in just to see him replace those dollar sign beverage coasters in Plinko with ET atari carts. And the display beauties running around would probably be in standard NES character get-ups. Imagine someone in Samus' power suit showcasing a bottle of Soft Scrub or a Lexus.
We could be onto something here...
