I hated emo-spiderman so much that I don't know if I will give my money to see it in the theater.

I dont think that S3 was a miserable film, but the movie was nowhere near greatness. It was a complete summer blockbuster cash in and most of the truly great films dont whore themselves out like S3 did.

I've never cared for their interpretation of Mary Jane, she's supposed to be hot strong willed and sassy, not plain whiny and a bitch.

Hollywood can't write comic book women. They're supposed to have huge jugs.

Unfortunately, all of the "Actresses" that look like comic book women, can't act.

Maguire will bail and the project will fail. Spidy 3 felt rushed just so they could wrap up loose ends and prevent another movie. I think Raimi has had enough.

LOL
Also, I think I've had enough of Raimi. I didn't have to pay to see SM3 when it was out, but it was far from free; it was a waste of almost 3 hours of my life.

Raimi needs to finish up with Spiderman sequels, and concentrate on more important things. Like Evil Dead sequels.

I love how everyone turns on Raimi. Feel the love. But I learned awhile ago loyalty means nothing to people who use the internet more than five hours a week.
And the deals made with Sony would make either one completely idiotic to drop out and would cost them.

It is official, "Spider-Man 4" will be blasting into theaters in 2011. Though busy shifting the release date of their three upcoming movies, "Thor", "The First Avenger: Captain America" and "The Avengers", Marvel Studios confirmed on March 12 that Sony Pictures have set the release date for this fourth installment of the web-slinging superhero movie.
Taking the vacant slot left by "Captain America", "Spider-Man 4" is to see U.S. theaters on May 6, 2011. With the 2011 slate placing, this Sam Raimi-directed movie has been put on the same year "Captain America" and "Thor" hit the U.S. theaters.
The fourth installment of "Spider-Man" series, "Spider-Man 4" has been reported to be shot back-to-back with "Spider-Man 5". It teams up once again director Sam Raimi and lead actor Tobey Maguire. While it is still uncertain whether Kirsten Dunst will reprise her role as Mary Jane Watson, actor J.K. Simmons has recently hinted on his return as obnoxious Daily Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson. Produced by Avi Arad, Grant Curtis and Laura Ziskin, the script will be provided by David Lindsay-Abaire. |

Let's see, a 4th Spidey film...
I predict it will be better than Batman 4 (aka "Batman & Robin") but not as good as Superman IV.
Any takers?

I was forced to watch Spider-Man 3 tonight again. My god, it's so terrible. I can't imagine any good coming out of two more sequels. And didn't Kirsten Dunst not want to do anymore after 3? So no Mary Jane suddenly.

So far I haven't liked anybody cast in the spiderman films besides James Franco. I really wish Tobey Maguire and the ugly whatsherface wouldn't come back for sequels

Yeah, I hated the casting too. New people would be great, especially for Mary Jane.

They should just intentionally make this real campy so the movie will at least know what it is.
Also, can we get carnage up in this bitch, I would see another spidey for this...

Awww. I thought Willem Dafoe made a great Norman Osbourne. (Then again, I'm horribly biased because I love him and all his work.)
I also think Toby makes a more than decent Peter Parker (except in the third one, but just about everything in that movie didn't work.) He doesn't make a great SPIDERMAN, but as Peter he's pretty good.

*Insert pic of Carnage* |
I'd love to see Carnage done well in a live-action movie, but nowadays Marvel markets Spidey as a family movie, and Carnage is a crazy-ass psychotic serial killer. If he was casted in, he'd instantly make the movie a horror/action film. So, unless they annoyingly nerf Carnage's personality, I can't really see him being put into a movie right now.
