Well, It's settled. I'm getting a tat. Since I won't grow any higher than I currently am, I don't have to worry about stretches or anything like that. What I need now are solid tattoo ideas.

I was thinking of a triforce on the back of my left hand, or some geometrical shapes. Maybe the Mobius strip.

I only do geometric shapes myself. I have two circles on the inside of ankles and I am going to do a golden sprial encompassing a golden rectangle in between my shoulder blades soon. I just find shapes to be aesthetically pleasing, I guess.

My mother always cautioned getting tattoos of a "hobby" or something that you like, because tastes always change, and you'll feel stupid in 10 years if you got a band name tattooed on your body and then they break up and you don't like them anymore. :/

I plan to get some sort of tattoo referencing my zodiac sign (Leo)... possibly a lion or the symbol for Leo on my ankle. I also want to get a Japanese tattoo... but I'm so hesitant about that. I mean, for me, a tattoo in Japanese would have meaning, it would mean things to me, because I've dedicated years of my life to studying the language and learning it. However, with the number of people who go out and get asian characters tattooed on their body, it'd look like I'm just being trendy to anyone else who sees it. :/ And I don't want to be trendy. However, Japanese is a part of me, it's not something I'm just going to blow off and ignore one day... so I feel comfortable enough with getting one. I just don't know where to put that one, actually. I thought about my lower back, but that'd be a nice little tramp stamp apparently. Hmm. Maybe on my back, near my left shoulder or something. Haven't decided yet.

As a guy who got a tattoo at the age of 17 (and recently had it removed), let me just say that you should put a lot of thought into it. Don't get something that's cool or trendy now. In fact, if you aren't sure what you want to get, (and you obviously aren't, since you're asking here in a very broad sense) I would advise you to wait a while.

I know that's not what you want to hear......but take it from someone older who has already made the same mistake.

(wow, I'm getting too old and sounding like my dad, LOL)

Astrology symbols are cool, but it's a goofy system to place faith in as Maddox demonstrates below. Razz

Most people I know who read their horoscopes do it out of boredom or just for fun, I've yet to meet anyone who takes it super seriously. Confused

Yeah dude, you gotta make sure it's something that has such an important meaning to you, even better if it's you alone. As I've been drawing my whole life, and I've always loved comics, when I first got published in a comic book, it was a no-brainer to get a tattoo based on the character I drew. A lot of my future tattoos will be based around my Scottish heritage, because it's who I am, ya know?

You can get a tattoo at any time, but it's there for good when ya do it.

I don't really take my daily horoscope seriously or anything, but I've found that I seem to fit the mold of a Leo really, really well. It describes my personality and it fits me, plus it's something about me that will never change; I will always be a Leo.

His name's Kade. He's from a semi-indie comic produced by Arcana Studios. I drew a picture of him to give to the creator/company EIC, and he loved it so much he put it in a comic (even though it sucked lol)

if you are gonna get something that means a lot to you, then get it somewhere not visible. thats my advice, since its personal, only those close to you would be privileged enough to see it.

actuallly, the kit idea is not too bad. i might get that just as a big 'fuck you' to people who get those other type of tattoos.

I don't think that you should get a tattoo.

But if you must... I like your Zelda themed one. If you are into games, Zelda is a classic.

Before you get it though, you should beat every Zelda game ever made.
