Half a pizza is chump change! But seriously, you should try and find a real pizza place, even a low-quality local pizzeria is better than any of the "big three."

Yeah, if I have some extra cash the local pizza places usually offer better pizzas. there's one around here called the Xtreme Pizza Kitchen that's pretty good. Speaking of the "big three", Domino's has these new baked sandwiches too that are cheap and not too bad on the flavor either.

Yeah, they are good for the price. I go with dominos over pizza hut anyways, because they deliver until 3:30 AM in my town.

Man, you guys should go to the Pizza Hut I used to work at (until I moved a few weeks ago).

Voted number one in service for I think 4 years running. And you could definitely tell.

Not that I didn't have people yelling at me for random peoples mistakes. Never get mad at the guy who handles your food. And since I was a driver/cook/server (award winning cook, if I could brag) I usually handled your food at some point.

If you have bad service, walk up to the counter explain (without being too accusational or mean) about the service and try to be understanding. I mean if it was an accident they should explain why and help you out. But if they are fuck-ups (and you can tell easily) just ask to speak to the manager (or even the Regional Manager.) That is how you get good service when you got bad service.

Getting angry or anything often involves bodily fluids or even worse service and, if you ordered carry-out or delivery, at least an egged house. They know where you live. Be nice. Tip well.

I've never liked Pizza Hut that much. One time I ate a single slice of Pepperoni Lover's and I got heartburn/stomach flu for three days. And one time I ate about 21 jalepino poppers and didn't get sick at all.

I've never liked Dominoes, either. Everything tastes like it's drenched in garlic.

I know Dominos and Pizza Hut, but excuse my ignorance when I ask, who is the other of the "Big 3?"

I too have become quite disapointed with the PH as of late. The one a few blocks from my house used to a sit down restruant, but now is just a counter with a row of chairs. Also, I think thier quality is dropping at the exact rate in which their prices increase.

There's a Little Ceasar's within a 5 minute walk from my house, and they have $5 "Hot N' Ready" Cheese or Pepporoni pizzas that are premade, so I just go there now for my pizza cravings. It's not the greatest, but the price and location is great.

If I crave GOOD pizza, then I go to one of two local places. "Zappo's" or "Sunshine Pizza Co.". Both have frickin awesome pizzas.

(Sunshine also has what they call the "Challenge". Which is a pizza that is like 3ft in diameter. It's huge and can feed like a dozen people.)

I either get the Hot&Ready from Caeser's on the cheap, or I go for a large from Original Pizza. Pretty stupid to go to Pizza Hut for overpriced machined bullshit pizza when a piping hot handmade large from Original is 25% cheaper and 3000% more delicious.

And the third of the Big 3 is Marty Pizza, of course.

The third one is Papa John's. I only order from the big 3 if I have the funds, but I'm mostly local.

So for me it's PH > Domino's > Papa John's.

When i said the big three, i meant pizza hut, dominos, and papa ginos, but i forgot that papa ginos was just a regional thing.

Is it really all that much harder to type out the word "you", or maybe are you the real Borat?

Anyways, I had a similar experience with a Circuit City with some "Dwight Shrute" fire dog clown trying to return an open box laptop. After getting similar attitudes in the past from that same store, I just stopped shopping at all Circuit Cities. Pizza Hut is hard though, they make damn good pizza, I couldn't boycott them easily.

I hear Little Cesars is making a comeback after declaring bankruptcy quite a while ago. I forget how their pizza was, I just remember they had one pizza that was the shape of a rectangle and about a 2x3 foot pizza. Anyone else remember this place? With the little Greek guy who used to say "pizza pizza".

For a chain they aren't bad. I remember that through the late 90's they had a decent selection of arcade games at my local location, whereas the other guys started to phase them out by that time. I seem to remember that they had more of an emphasis on fresh ingredients and a "rustic" approach, but when I was 13 those weren't exactly the qualities I looked for in food.

Anyone every been to a Pizza Factory?
My grade school used to do Pizza Factory every other Friday.
The pizza was greasy, with small amounts of sauce, thin floppy crust, and lots of weird spices.
And it was good. As. Hell. I still eat that stuff. And the bread sticks are huge and fluffy and buttery.

So good.

The Domino's around here suuuuuucks. The crust is nice, but the ingredients are scarce 99% of the time. There Buffalo Chicken finger things are good, but expensive, especially after factoring in delivery charges.

Hahaha, I haven't eaten Pizza Hut in years. I rarely ever order pizza anymore (I usually buy the frozen stuff at the store), and when I do I either get Domino's or Papa Johns. It's a pain in the ass for me though when the family wants pizza because my mom prefers Pizza Hut.

Every single fast food place around here does shit right.

You guys sound like you eat some pretty shitty pizza. Fuck all the chains you guys have mentioned, they're all fucking inferior.

No matter how cheap you are you gotta shell out the dough for a truly well made pizza from a real pizza place every now and then.

I prefer local, real italian run pizza places. I do miss all the great deals of Little Ceaser's when I was a kid though. Closest one to me is 30-45 min depending on traffic. I loved how you got like 2 or more pizza's on a cardboard tray with that paper sleeve over it, just taped or stapled closed. You got a ton of pizza for cheap. Maybe that was why they went through bankruptcy. I wish there was one closer, for nostalgia. Now all I need is TMNT II the arcade game, some crystal pepsi, and some Hostess Turtle Pies for desert.

Well I don't think anyone is debating you on the fact that local Italian pizza places are ten times better. Most family owned stuff tastes better and is much more authentic than larger enterprises like Pizza Hut. Same with Papa Johns. When they first hit the scene their pizza was a lot better, hell even the garlic sauce was better and you got 2 - now you get 1. Now it is lacking substance and isn't quite as good (not to say it's bad).

I-talians aren't the only ones who make a good pie. As far as American varieties go, we are all familiar with Chicago, New York, and I've recently seen "Boston" style pizzas as well, but Greeks and Turks are also known for their distinct pizza styles.

For anyone wondering, the Boston style pizza place I frequent appears to be similar to New York, as in a thinner crust, but its of the low-sauce, high cheese variety, but with a parmesan mozzarella mix. They also use whole herbs rather than using an herbed sauce, so there are nice flavorful chunks of oregano and basil under the cheese.

That sounds amazing. I've never known of a Boston style of pizza, but it sounds excellent. Since I doubt that's available around here, I'll have to make it myself. Hmm, I wonder how a pizza would come out on a George Foreman grill... ha!

There's this pizza restaurant (I'm pretty sure it's a chain) called S'barro's in the food court of a mall about sixty miles from where I live. That's probably the only pizza I've ever had that I particularly liked. That and Lunchable Pizzas.
