Is it really? Didn't know that. Honestly, I hadn't heard of it till yesterday. My brother's boss had a big box of used DVDs that they were going to post on Amazon, so he pulls Oldboy and asks me if I've ever seen it. I said no, and he told me I should. So I bought it before they posted it and watched it this afternoon.
At any rate, I thought it was very good.
And on a sidenote Jeebus, I wish you guys would give me first crack at your movies before you put them on Amazon. I fucking love movies. God knows how many cult classics and assorted awesome movies I've missed out on owning because you guys post them all on Amazon.

OVER RATED
Don't get me wrong, though. I love the part where he yanks out that one guy's teeth. Brutal shit, I tell ya.

I'm a bit of the Asian Extreme cinema fan. I did like Old Boy a lot. I expected more violence and a weaker story like most of the other AE flicks, but I was pleasantly surprised with its well-written story.

I picked the DVD up at the same time I got my copy of Order of Ecclesia. However, I'm saving my first viewing for Halloween night after I get off work.

I do not enjoy going to the dentist.
In my life I have had:
* 11 teeth pulled
* 1 tooth chipped
* 1 tooth cracked
* Braces 3 times
* 4 Bonded Retainers
* 3 Regular Retainers
* Oral gum surgery once.
Oh... by the way, here are my teeth as of 6 months ago.
Notice that I only have 3 front teeth on the bottom. That explains one tooth pulled and braces for the third time.
What were we talking about again?
Oh yeah... I'm never seeing this movie if it is like the dentist. For future notice, never compare stuff to the dentist for me... or the eye doctor... yeah... the eye doctor is worse.

Only because I understand it's also fucked up, you probably don't want to check Speed Grapher out. It's an anime where people gain powers related to their sexual kinks and such; episode 8 involves a dentist who can grow drills out of any orifice in his body to torture people.
Which is better? Audition or Oldboy?
