An interesting discussion we're having at my other forum, and I just wanna know.

SF2 CE/T and Super Turbo: Ken, Guile, E. Honda, Sagat, Fei Long, Cammy
SFA2, 3: Look at my fucking sig. Also-- Guy, Sakura, Ken, Rolento, Dan (for the lulz)
3rd Strike: Yun, Ryu, Ken, and sometimes Alex
KoF: Terry and/or Kyo. Others depend on the game.
Garou: Terry, Rock, B. Jenet, and once in a green moon, Butt.
XvSF: My team: Look at my fucking sig again, and Cyclops.
MvC1/2: Ken, Strider, Hayato, Cyclops, Hulk, Cap. Commando and sometimes Guile.
GG: Ky. Really haven't had a chance to mess with it for more than 5 minutes.
CvS2: Ken, Rock, Kyo
UMK3/MK4: Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Johnny Cage
Smash Bros (original), Link, Kirby, Ness, and Cap. Falcon.
Soul Calibur: Mitsurugi, Nightmare. Haven't played it in years or I would remember more.

I play as a lot of characters though, but these are just my immediate go-to guys.

In Alpha 2 my best is Guy, second fave is Rolento. Alpha 2 bores me after playing so much Third Strike though. The reason for that is mainly Ibuki; She's Guy mixed with Rolento perfectly. I also FUCKING RAPE with Alpha 2 Dan. HE IS NOT FOR THE "LULZ" as you put it, Bomberman. He is serious shit, and I will kick your ass with him any day.

For Third Strike, my favorite is (duh) Ibuki. The only gripe I have with Ibuki is that even if it looks like she's winning, she can lose in like four hits. She takes hits like a girl (hurr) and deals out hardly any damage. To be effective with her you have to constantly be rushing and dishing out combos. Once you start getting hit as Ibuki, you quickly fall down the slippery slope. Still, she's fun as fuck to do well with, you feel both stylish and ninja-like every time you win with her. I swear to god if you cover the health bars during the fight it always looks like she's winning...until she fucking loses.

I'm learning Alex and really liking him, he's like Zangief with actual mobility and a useful moveset. His spiral DDT is fucking awesome looking, albeit somewhat useless. The fact he even has a spiral DDT makes him so awesome that I can forgive its worthlessness as an effective or safe move. Just landing it once in 100 tries makes it all worth it.

I also enjoy using Dudley, his mixups and pressuring power is fucking intense. He's top tier for sure, and the wakeup mind games you can play with him are utterly staggering to say the least.

E. Fuckin Honda, Balrog and Zangief - though I question Zangief's effectiveness at times in all incarnations of SF II.

I always liked using Balrog in SF. He had some significant gaps in his arsenel, but it was just so fun to unleash those massive charging punches.

Yeah - if Balrog's punches connected more often he would be much more effective.

I play Eternal Champions man, and whoever the dude with the stick with the green end on it - not Trident - maybe Xavier? I dont remember the names well cuz that game was so fucking hard.

Yea his probably was that he had no projectile attack, and he couldn't jump for shit. So against an opponent with a projectile, he was pretty much screwed. Beating Sagat with Balrog was damn near impossible (for me.)

Yea it was Xavier, he was good. The game definatley had a steep learning curve, but the fighting system was surprisingly deep and way ahead of its time. Me and a small circle of friends got real good at it and played it all summer. Its great.

I've been playing a shitload of Tekken as of late. My favorite characters are Kazuya (Jin in TK3), Jack, Law, Lei Wulong, Dragunov, Lee, and Combot. As for Street Fighter, I'm partial to Akuma, Ken, Guy, Yun and Yang, Sagat, Fei Long, and basically any other non-charge character.

And Murdar, we need to play more Street Fighter.

III Strike: Q(obviously), Hugo, Alex, Dudley. I can't get any of my friends to play on a regular basis, so I usually win. Unfortunately, you need good human opponents to really develop any skill, so anyone who actually did play III Strike on a regular basis would demolish me. So I use characters with movesets that I enjoy. Why win when you can finish them off with FIVE GERMAN SUPLEXES!
SFII: Zangief. I've beaten all my friends, the guy who owns our arcade, anyone who walked in the door and was willing to put down a quarter, and the arcade mode. I feel confident in saying that my strength is greater than yours. So long as I have a joystick. Keyboard was not kind to me.
KoF: Depends on the version. Griffon, Shermie, Blue Mary, Yamazaki, King, Vanessa, and if I really want to win Terry.
Eternal Champions: Slash had the club, so that was the winner. Second was Larcen, cause he's awesome. Third was midknight, the vampire. The closest thing to a grappler in the game. Never trident.
Marvel versus Capcom, or any of the other iterations of the crossover series.: Utterly random, with the notable exception of Shuma-Gorath. Don't ask why, I don't know.
Guilty Gear: I never played enough to say. I liked Potempkin's instant kill "I kiss my fist than obliterate you with my punch", but he might be too slow even for me.
Tekken: Screw tekken.
Samurai Showdown: Tam-tam, or whatever his name was. Aztec guy.
Fighters History/World Heroes: Ryoko.

(Edit: I should really make a thread about another 2d fighter I played recently)
