LOL! Final Fantasy Jokez. Everyone who hate ff7 is fucking way smart and anyone who likes it is dumb. They should have got martin scorsceze or david lynch to do the script, because the script was stupid and not revolutionary. Anyone who is cool likes the FF's before 7, and anyone who liked 7 is not normal, and jacks off to tifa hentaiz. you definately can't like both, because liking 7 means you are not l33t, but liking 6 which had an equally cheesy story with less character development and play time iz cool because it was on super sega.

I've only played FF7 through FF9, so I don't know what that makes me.

The worst part of FF7 for me was Caith Sith. I don't mean to disrespect Japanese culture, but I remain flaccid when looking at giant stuffed animals.

I have played this game twice now. Once when it came out and then again about a year later. I got to the end and then never bothered to beat it. There is so much estrogen driving the plot that I just can't relate and find myself saying "I just don't give a fuck... I only want it to be over".

Oh and fuck you Chocobos. You were a bad idea in Final Fantasy IV, especially the fucking fat one... but I really hate you in this game because I need you to get the super duper move that kills everything in 1 shot that takes 60 seconds to perform.

FUCK! THIS GAME MAKES ME SO MAD.

I thought that was caused by the team of Big Macs, liberals, the Cure, Minerva Mink, and the absense of work ethic?

7 IS the most overrated of the FF's, and the start of cutscenes replacing gameplay.

I thought it was very good, though not as good as VI or IV. It did get really blown out of proportion by people a few years after the release, and I can understand the disgust of the hype. I always liked the Final Fantasy games (Never played VIII or higher, and from the looks of it, I don't want to) because of the group interaction of the characters, and the fact that they at least try to mix the battle sequence beyond just "Fight, Magic, Item," with a few tweaks here and there.

The worst part of FFVII, is 10 years after it's release, it gets ripped to shread by the masses, when most of them were like 10 years old when it came out.

Is it the great RPG ever? No. Not by a longshot.

But, when it was released in 1997, it was unlike anything else. It was an epic game to behold. The graphics were incredible for the time. The story was very deep. And, there was a lot of extras in the game. (Chocobo Breeding, Secret Summons, etc.) It was the game you showed off to everyone else when showing your Playstation.

For alot of you, FFVII was one of the 1st RPGs you ever played. And, everything that's come out since then, blows it away. For older generations, FFVII was a huge stride in RPGs, and changed the way they were made. It will be always considered a great game, more because of the impact then for the game itself.

So, can we just drop it?

No more FF7 SUX!!!! threads or posts, and no more FF7!!! OMFG!!! BEST GAME EVAR!!!!!1!!!!!

meh, I liked Wild Arms better and the worst part of FFVII was Yuffie, “I’m gonna steal all yous guys Materia, lolgigglelol!”.

For me 7 was no big deal, and 8 was confusing and gay. My personal favorite is still FF1.

Here is how I feel about that.

I was old enough to work and have a job. I was old enough to spend money I earned to buy the game. I am old enough to bitch about the buyers remorse.

FF VII isn't that bad. I thought FF III was worse. Really the only thing I didn't like about FF VII was that there was a variety of characters to choose from yet only four of them were useful (I generally stick to Cloud, Red XIII, and alternate between Vincent and Cid).

FFVII was pretty good at the time. I still like it (not even close to my favorite. I'd rather play I, IV, VI, VII, XII, maybe X). But it hasn't aged will. When I replay it, it takes me a while to get used to those polygon graphics.
