Okay, so I used to have this game that I enjoyed, but then it got renamed and I can't find it anymore. It's a japanese game, it's kind of like a board game with adventure elements. There's a large map with volcanoes and ice and mountains. I think you can move about three spaces at a time, but that's all I remember. Oh, yeah it's for NES.
Also, can Pirate Ship Hagemaru be found for NES? Which reminds me, there's this other game that's kind of like Pirate Ship Hagemaru, but you wrap rope around stuff to capture it and win the level.
Any ideas?

Pirate Ship Higemaru was released for the Famicom I believe; I know there's a rom out for it. It's a bit different than the arcade game and has you sailing around a ridiculously large world map looking for islands to explore and pirates to battle. There might even be a rom in English as well, but I’m not 100% on that.
No idea on the other ones, although Goof Troop for the SNES reminds a bit of Higemaru now that I think about it, I mean, they were both made by Capcom whose been known to recycle gameplay from time to time.

Dammit, I wish I could provide more info, but I don't think it was Romance of the 3 kingdoms. Hmmm, well I know that every stage has CPU controlled opponents and if you land on their space or if they land on your space, you battle. I think there might have been caves and stuff. Dammit, I may need to go through all my roms and see what its called someday.

Was it 100 World Story (Hyaku no Sekai no Monogatari: The Tales on a Watery Wilderness)? I was just browsing around and it seems to fit a bit of what you were describing as far as the board game setup and caves.

Thanks, McScurvy, I think that's the game, although it locks up right after the set up screen. But, nonetheless, I'm pretty sure that's the game. Now to find a working one, or a new emu.

I need help too. The game I need help remembering the name of is about a pirate who fights another pirate who has a red skull as a head. You fight mostly rats and pirate henchmen. The power-ups are in shape of fruits.
